I apologize for the bad updating schedule, bouts of writers block and being to busy have caused me already hectic updating schedule to slide. I apologize and I'll try to get better, thank you to everyone that has been commenting and liking, it means so much to me! More to come.
Arthur and the other men sat around the unconscious boy, taking in the sight before them. He was fae like, a fairy. Tall and strong, but thin and lovely. If it could apply, he would be called beautiful. Everyone knew that Merlin, in every definition of the word, was beautiful. He was kind-hearted and loving as well a lovable, bubbly and always happy, his crooked grin always brought a smile to others and light to a room. He didn't burden others with his issues but allowed others to burden him with their issues.
He was oddly wise beyond his years, when people actually listened and learned. Many people thought he was an idiot, an ass and a dope, but he wasn't. He was wise and kind, loving and happy.
Merlin. That was the was quoted to describe him. He was simply Merlin, nothing more and nothing less.
His pale skin reminded people of cream, while his hair was that of burned ash, smokey air.
His eyes were the sky in the day and in the night, stars and the sun, light and dark.
Fairy-like and fae, very lovely.
He was a beautiful person, in personality and body, even if Merlin himself didn't truly believe it. The men knew this, as they had once talked to Merlin when he was very delirious and very gone, no filter and no urge to stop talking, to hide it all away. After all, everyone knows that alcohol was a greaser of the tongue.
Merlin had been sitting at the table with the other Knights, his tongue loosened and his mind muddled. Gwaine, of course, was drunk so he quickly and drunkenly asked Merlin,
"Merlin, do you know how attractive you are?" Merlin, drunkenly, had responded,
"You're a terrible lair Gwaine. I'm not attractive. My cheekbones make me look starved, my ears stick out too much and my hair is uncontrollable, messy. I'm too tall and too thin, I am an unappealing and unattractive person Gwaine, do not say different for you would be a liar."
Merlin had then drunkenly dropped his head onto the table and had sighed, before lifting his head once again and taking another large swig of his ale. The other men had quieted during Merlins words, their sluggishly drunk minds quickly sobering in the mist of their friends drunken words.
Merlin had always been there, even when he wasn't.
They all acknowledged and were very fond of the young Raven, he was their brother, their friend, he would not fall as so many before him had. Merlin, they all realized, did not see himself in the same lens, the same light as the rest of them did.
Well, that would have to change. Soon. For Merlin and his heart was solid, his heart made entirely of gold.
He would see himself soon enough, if the men had a say in it.
Sorry for the short chapter guys, I promise longer chapters and more to come!
