Mordred burst into the throne room, his eyes wide with horror, fear and urgency. All the knights looked up and Arthur looked at him, an eyebrow raised,
"Mordred? What is it?" Mordred had sprinted to the throne room so he said, while panting,
"Merlin.. Merlin told me- he told me that's he's going to possibly- possibly die." All the knights shot up from their seats and yelled in unison,
"WHAT?!" Mordred nodded and said,
"He-He told me by accident.. He wasn't going to tell me- he- he told me in a fit of anger. He's positive he's going to die." All the knights looked at each other and they all mimicked the shocked and horrified looks that decorated each other's faces. A servant suddenly appeared and said,
"A rider from Amalah has arrived and demands an audience with the king." Arthur nodded weakly and stood, then made his way to his throne. Just as the knights situated themselves, Merlin slipped into the throne room. All the knights were looking at him, he didn't look at them. He looked at the throne room doors, a look of sternness, utter serious and acceptance on his face. The doors suddenly opened and all the color drained from Merlin's face, the knights and Arthur noticed immediately. A man stepped forward, he was wearing a long dirty and tattered dark blue cloak, he wore black trousers with mud drenching the bottoms and black boots, he wore a blue shirt underneath and his long, extremely dirty blonde hair was hanging in front of his piercing blue eyes. He looked at Arthur, Merlin had shrunk back and was partly hiding behind the throne, much to Arthur's concern. The man spoke, his voice thick and booming,
"Hello sire. I am here from the kingdom of Amalah, I am here looking for someone. He is very dangerous and needs to be exterminated immediately." Arthur leaned forward slightly,
"Who exactly is this 'dangerous' person?" The man was about to speak when he noticed Merlin. He smiled cruelly, it was almost unnerving.
"Oh.. never mind sire. I see you've already brought him to me." Arthur was about to speak when the mans eyes flashed and Merlin was sent flying, he hit the stone wall with a sickening loud crack. All the knights drew their swords but that was it. The man used magic to freeze everyone to their spots. All the knights could to is watch as the mysterious man advanced on the fallen brunette, who has sudden coughed up a lot of blood. Merlin looked up and clenched his jaw, the man pulled out a sword and smiled cruelly. Merlin pulled himself up to his feet and groaned weakly, holding his ribs. The man slashed at Merlin, who ducked and the sword dug itself into the side of Arthur's throne. Merlin stumbled backwards, the man pried the sword from the throne. Merlin fell back and the man slashed again, this time the sword dragged itself along Merlin's chest and part of his upper arm. Merlin winced harshly and stood up. In one quick and swift move, he had grabbed and pulled Lancelots sword from its sheath.
(Non of the knights couldn't move, magic)
Merlin held his sword up and blocked an incoming slash. The man kicked Merlin in the chest, the beaten servant stumbled back against the round table. After several more minutes of fighting and slashing, the man had a split lip, a slashed cheek and a cut upper arm. The throne room doors were suddenly smashed open and a man, who was dressed in fine king like clothes, looked around and screamed,
"MITCHELL, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! KILL HIM! KILL MERLIN EMRYS!" The man, Mitchell turned and plunged a knife into Merlin's stomach, causing a storm of blood to erupt from Merlin's lips. Merlin gasped and stumbled forward, Mitchell grabbed Merlin and kneeled down and whispered something into Merlin's ear. Merlin's eyes were filled with tears and a look of fear, horror and pain glazed over his bright blue eyes. Merlin coughed and grabbed Mitchell's shoulders, then fell to the floor and groaned weakly, his eyes fluttering shut. The man in the doorway grinned and disappeared down the hallway. Once Mitchell was positive the man was gone, he rushed over to Arthur and handed the frozen blonde a vial of glowing green fluid. He whispered,
"Give this to Merlin when I leave. It's the only way to save him. I have no time to explain, all you need to know is that I am merlins brother, I am not the one that hurt him before and I will explain everything to you all soon just...Please save him. Save my brother." Arthur looked at the man, the Pendragons eyes saw the pain and the hurt in the mysterious mans eyes, the sincerity. He nodded as well as he could, the man disappeared. The knights were freed from their invisible bonds and rushed to the dying servant. Arthur poured the liquid down Merlin's throat, Merlin spluttered and gasped, he arched his back and started to seize. Merlin thrashed and moved violently, a thin trail of blood began to drip down his chin and his eyes rolled into the back of his head, all the knights were horrified and terrified. Merlin let out a weak groan and fell unconscious, all the slashes and cuts had healed magically and quickly, they were now faint scars, surrounded and coated in blood. Arthur leaned down and felt Merlin's pulse, it was weak but still there. Mordred whispered loudly,
"What's happening to you, Merlin? What's happening?"
