Mordred followed Merlin around the castle, the injured sorcerer continued his chores and other things as if he hadn't been attacked or harmed. Mordred looked at Merlin's face, he wore a frown that sheltered his emotions from everyone but his eyes.. his eyes were an entirely different story. His normally bright blue eyes were glossed over with pain and silence, they weren't their natural bright, electric and exotic blue. They were a tinted and glossy blue, it's like they wouldn't even classify as blue anymore. Merlin had finished his chores and was walking around outside when Mordred had enough. He stormed up to Merlin and grabbed his by his wrists. Merlin yelped in pain,

"Ow Mordred, what the hell are you doing?! Let go of me! Now, Mordred!" Mordred pulled Merlin away from view, pulled him towards the woods that surrounded the Camelot grounds. Merlin began to frantically try and pull himself away from Mordred.

"Mor-Mordred! Let go of me!" Mordred stopped but wheeled Merlin around and gripped the sorcerers upper arms. Not tight enough to cause any serious pain but enough to keep Merlin in that spot. Mordred looked at Merlin and asked, his voice riddled with concern,

"Merlin, what the hell is going on?!" Merlin gulped and yelled,

"I don't know what you're talking about Mordred, now let go of me!" Mordred grit his teeth and said,

"Merlin, there's no point in lying to me! Tell me!!" Merlin grimaced yelled back,

"No! Let go of me now!!" Mordred scoffed and tightened his grip, earning a strangled and pained yelp from Merlin. Merlin grit his teeth and yelled through the pain,

"And why the hell do you care?! Why the hell does anyone care! I'm not important, I'm not some king or prince that was attacked so why is everyone trying to help me?! Why?!" Mordred looked at Merlin in disbelief and shock,

"M-Merlin.. are you joking?!" Merlin set his jaw and Mordred got his answer. Mordred grabbed Merlin and pulled him forward, then took his hands and gripped Merlin's head, locking their eyes together,

"Merlin, you are like a little brother to every single one of the knights! Arthur would be lost without you, Camelot would all but fall!" Merlin snorted and tried to get away, obvious that he didn't believe a word the other sorcerer was saying,

"Yeah right! Camelot was fine before me, and it will be fine after!" Merlin's face suddenly paled and Mordred asked, tightening his grip slightly,

"Merlin.. what are you talking about?" Merlin huffed and snapped angrily,

"Nothing! Let go of me!" Mordred let go of Merlin reluctantly, his eyes never leaving the I injured brunette. Merlin straightened his jacket and turned on his heels and almost immediately stormed from forest. He stopped at the forests edge and said coldly,

"Mordred. Do me a favor, don't get involved in things you do not understand. It does not matter how I got my injuries, it does not matter how I will die. Leave my business alone, before it gets too dangerous for anyone else." Mordred looked at Merlin like a deer caught in headlights, he was shellshocked. All he could think was;

"It does not matter how I will die."

Merlin had said that like he knew for a fact that he was going to die soon. Mordred stepped forward numbly, a hand outstretched, and whispered pained,

"Merlin.. what's going on.?. please.." Merlin sighed and said, coldly and matter-of-factually,

"I'm going to die soon."
