joshua: are you celebrating halloween

mia: no.
almost in unison, they both reminisce on the halloween days which they shared together. mia remembers the party they both attended when they wore matching costumes. joshua was batman and mia was robin. however joshua remembers when they spent the night at her aunty's house, watching movies and cuddling and eating whatever they desired.
joshua: aw you should
mia: halloween is stupid.
joshua: but it used to be your favourite day of the year
it was true; mia used to count down the days until halloween. nobody, including herself, knew why she was so infatuated with the date but she was, and that was just another aspect of her distinct character which joshua fell head-over-heels with.
mia: emphasis on the word 'used', joshua.
joshua: why don't you go trick or treating
joshua: you're good at special effects makeup that could be your outfit
mia: i'm not going trick or treating, joshua, i'm not twelve anymore. please stop texting me, i'm busy.
joshua: oh what are you doing
joshua: ?
mia: i'm with my boyfriend.
