"Dont worry ." assured Jack "he will talk his way out ! that's his speciality" Amelia smiled at him. Then Emmett came out of the room. "What happened ?" asked Jack. "Well mother says that Amelia can stay in the room near the attic" They showed her to her new room. It looked quite comfortable though it was small. it consists of a bed, a small cupboard, and a mirrored table. Amelia thanked them. Emmett went back to his sister's room
Amelia sat on the bed . Jack sat next to her . "So ... looks like you are gonna be here for a while....." . "Yeah...." She answered gloomily "I doubt if i'll ever see james again." Jack looked at her surprised "Who is James?" "He is my fiance" answered Amelia little knowing that Jack's heart was broken. "Oh you must be missing him" Jack said feeling like someone crushed his heart . "I gotta go" Jack said. "Wait where are you going ?" asked Amelia. "I have to run some errands" replied Jack who was trying to fix his heart back.
As he exited her room he let out a huge sigh. His heart was extremley heavy. Because he fell in love with her the momment he saw her. Sadly this beautiful brown eyed lady knew nothing of his feelings. He quietly went to his room. On the table in his room was a small brown wooden box he opened it and guess wat was inside ..... Yes ! The the golden pearl chain !! He looked at it thinking how brighter everything would be if Amelia was his !
Amelia got out of her room and went to look for Jack. Perhaps she could help him in his work. She went outside and she searched for Jack. But she couldnt find him. Luckily she spotted Emmett. "Emmett !" she called out he turned and saw her "Amelia ! can i help you ?" he asked "Yes . can you tell me where is Jack?" "He must be in his room" Replied Emmett as he led her to Jack's room. "Ok , here is his room. bye gotta do some work" He left Amelia. She knocked his door. "Who is it ?!" asked Jack , startled. "Its me Amelia" she replied. "Just a sec!" Jack said as he kept the chain back in the box an hid it under his pillow.
"Amelia !" Jack said opening the door "Didnt expect you !" "Well i was a bit bored so i decided to help you with your work." replied Amelia . "Did you know ! that is very kind of you ! but you really dont have to do it" "But i insist !" replied Amelia. "Ok then you can help me chop up the wood " "sure !" replied Amelia. She didnt know his true feeling for her at all.........................
