Chapter 11

The next day Amelia went to see Edline. She knocked on her door and said "Its Amelia" . "Come in" answered Edline. "Hello Edline ! Ive made you soup and i hope you like it ! my first one ever !!!" said Amelia as she entered the room with a bowl of hot soup. 

Edline was looking much better. Some colour had come back to her face but she was still a little pale. Edline looked up to Amelia as a big sister and a close friend. "Thanks Melia ! if i may call you that" Edline replied as she took the bowl. " Yes sure !" smiled Amelia . 

Edline was actaully a pretty girl. She had the brown eyes like Emmett."So Melia , you are lucky to go to the fair ! i go there every year but this year i feel terribly weak to even sit up." Said the poor girl sadly.

Someone knocked the door "Come in" replied Edline. The door opened and it was Jack ! "Hello Eddie !!" he smiled. Edline looked at him and smiled "Hello Jackie !" Jack smiled at her. Both of them were soo close to each other. Emmett too joined the little party.

"Amelia mother is calling you" "Alright" she smiled and left the room. "Edline, we promise to bring you something when we get back" Said Jack. "What about me ?" asked Emmett "Arent you comming ?" replied Jack surprised "Well no id like to stay here and give company to My little sister !" Edline smiled at him .

That evening Jack was waiting outside for Amelia.The door opened and Amelia was there. She wore a pretty black dress with red flowers. quite beautiful she looked that evening ! "You look beautiful" Jack said as he took her hand and gave it a small peck. Amelia smiled at him and both of them went to the fair together.

They had tons of fun that night ! Then Amelia saw the villagers having a dance. She dragged poor Jack to it !! Amelia never felt this hyper in her life ! The lively music, laughter and smiles all around ! everything made her happy ! After all the excitement, the violin was playing a sweet slow tune. Amelia slow danced with Jack along the music. "Jack, thank you so much" smiled Amelia. Jack smiled and he lean over and gave her a soft kiss. She closed her eyes enjoying every momment.

The weather wanted to play pranks on the poor village people. It started raining but not a heavy shower. Every one ran for shelter! Perfect night for a village fair and the dreaded rain HAD to pour  !! "wait !" yelled Jack. It was a perfect night for him and Amelia and he didnt want it to end it. He requested the sheltered musicians to continue playing.

He took Amelia's hand and asked for a dance. "What are you doing ?" she asked, puzzled "Dancing with you in the rain !" He answered with a huge smile. She laughed and they were dancing in the rain. Soon the other villagers joined in. It was amazing.

After the fair was over Amelia and Jack went back home soaking wet. Emmett opened the door and looked at them. "Do you want to explain?" he asked them. "It's not our fault! the weather rained on us" replied Amelia. "But we got you 2 candied apples" smiled Jack. Emmett laughed and gave them towels. They got his mother a beautiful painted bowl. Every one in the house [Emmett's cousin's] went to the fair and returned earlier. Amelia and Jack were the last to come back home.

Amelia went to Jack's room to warm up as her room had no fireplace. Amelia looked at a book lying near the table. It was the same one her mother gifted to her! "You too like this book ?" she asked holding it up "yes one of my favorites" Jack smiled. When she was all warmed up she wished him goodnight. She stood outside his door. Suddenley she knocked. "Yes" Jack said as he opened the door. She said nothing but gave him a big goodnight kiss !! "wanted to give you a kiss !" smiled and ran up to her room. She smiled to herself . She loves him but does not admit it !!!!!!
