Cindy and I walked around with our sunglasses looking through different stores. We both agreed we would change our styles now and dress differently at all times.
My normal outfit was a t-shirt and leggings but from now on I would be dressing like a mini Kim Kardashian; well... In a way.
I would be dressing a lot fancier; along with Cindy.
But instead of dressing like a movie star, her look was girly. She hated the thought of sundresses and sandals but she was willing to take one for the team.
We had to get our hair restyled after too. The shop we found in the outlet was called "Kristine's Kutz". I figured by the looks of the African styles, that they would be able to style my hair so it would be cute but keep it's black nature.
I had actually come to love my curls. When I walked in, I was greeted by a receptionist with purple hair and long pointy nails. "Hello, I'm Rhonda. What can I help you with today?" She greeted with a smile.
"Me and my friend want to completely change our hair styles to give us a different look." I said politely.
"Well I believe we could fit you and your friend in with our best workers for that. I'm scheduling your appointment for 4:30." Rhonda smacked her gum.
The clock said 4.
Only 30 minutes; I could wait.
I nodded and gave her our names and details.
Earlier Huey told me Cindy goes by Claire Waterstead.
Cindy pretended to gag when she heard it.The name was too "white" for her, like her name wasn't already Cindy.
Since we had 30 extra minutes to spare, we walked across the street to the GDaniel's French Diner.
There was a long line inside but it wasn't for the food... Cindy and I peeked around and saw the one and only Trey Songz standing there.I pushed everyone out of the way just to get close to the front. Cindy stood in the other line for actual food.
25 minutes passed by and I was one person away from meeting the sexiness king.
Cindy called my name, "Jaz- Jamie! Let's go! Our appointment's about to start!"
I started getting impatient. "Hold on, this'll be quick!" I yelled back."I'm going to start eating your fries Jay!" She yelled.
I whined, "No!" - "Um, excuse me, can I help you?" I turned my head and it was him!
My mouth dropped and I swear I almost fainted. I could barely even speak."Yeah, I-I'mmm Jaz! I love your music, could I get a quick picture with you?" I asked nervously.
"Sure baby, but that'll cost you."
Jesus where was the air because I'm dying.
He can have as much as he wants I just want my picture.I stood next to him with a huge grin hugging him with one arm. Jesus, he smells like strawberries and happiness.
"JAZMINE COME ON!" Cindy yelled.
I quickly grabbed my phone and sped out the restaurant, not forgetting to say farewell to Mr. Handsome. In the salon I scrolled through pictures while sitting in the chair next to Cindy. "And there's this one and this one, and in this one he was like ayeee and I was like ayeeeeeee." I said cheesing. She rolled her eyes.
"If it was my baby J.Cole up in that bitch then it would've been different." She said laughing.
The lady started washing my hair first.
The warm water felt amazing on my skin, I relaxed and thought of happy things.
"What would you like me to do with your hair Hun?" The lightskin lady asked. "Suprise me, I just need something new that'll fit me." I said smiling as her hands massaged my head. After a few hours after a bit of snipping and routines she showed me the mirror.
I couldn't believe it.
My hair was thick and super curly. It was a bit poofy, and it touched just a bit past my shoulders.Straightened, it was probably far down my back. And it was jet black.
The color made me feel so unique. I thanked Janelle, the lady who had been styling, and went to see Cindy's final touches. She came in here with two long braids and she's now leaving with a shoulder length, layered bob. Well the back was shoulder length, the more it came to the front the longer it got. It was really cute but Cindy was on the verge of a freak out.
"Jaz I'm bald!" She cried.
At the end of the day we returned to the motel with new hair and wearing new clothes. Also with a few treats we bought from a bakery nearby.
We walked in like we were runway models.
I was in a skin tight cream colored dress that had straps in the back. Revealing the skin. And Black red bottom peep toe heels.
Cindy was in a high waisted blue and white floral skirt and a white long sleeve, tight crop top to match. She wore black strap sandals and her blue toenails to match her skirt.
The boys' jaw dropped, as I was the first to walk in. But as soon as Cindy walked in they burst into laughter.
"The real C-Murph gangsta went soft!" They cried. Her face got red, "Shut up!" She stomped out, "Bitch ass niggas." She said under her breath.
That night when Cindy and I were laying down she brought up more things to better our disguises. "I'm going to need to teach you how to do heavy makeup." She said, "So then you'll really look different, but slay them hoes at the same damn time."
I chuckled a bit.
"C, go to bed." She smacked her lips, "You know it's true." She replied.I couldn't take my mind off Huey that night. He hadn't said anything really when I walked in. Did he like my new look?
I hope he did.
Maybe he thinks I look slutty.
Damn.
I don't want my bestfriend to see me like that.
I recited the poem to myself that night to help me sleep better.
