Note: I apologize that it has taken so long to update! I have been very busy in the past month or so, but I am back now, and I look forward to updating more often! :) ♡

I could hear faint whispering as I slowly opened my eyes and put my hand to my head. My room was dim because my lamp had been turned on. I turned my head to see Glen and Megan. Rubbing my head I asked them, "What's going on? Why are you in my room?" I started to sit up as I looked at Glen for an answer, but he gave Megan a look that said she needed to tell me. Even in this exchange of stares there was silence. Glen pulled his phone out of his pocket and left the room with a "Please excuse me?"

After Glen left the room, closing the door behind him, Megan gently approached me sitting on the edge of my bed. "Patience", she softly said. I looked at her, and she continued on "You're perfectly fine. Yesterday after school when you were doing the dishes you got light headed and fainted. You happened to hit your head on the counter when you fell." I looked at her confused. "I guess that explains the weird dream I had", I said. Megan looked at me strangely, "what weird dream?" she replied. "Well, I had a dream that I met this guy named Evan Pearce. He's a member of this band called Ghost Town. He came over and we found out that he was my brother, but I don't remember what happened after that..." I trailed off trying to remember. Megan laughed mockingly at me, turning my confused expression to a frown.

I started to get out of my bed when suddenly I heard my door open and a voice that clearly said "Patience, it wasn't a dream. Don't listen to what she says!" I looked up quickly expecting to see Glen, but I didn't. I saw Evan. I shot a look at Megan. "What's going on?!"

Evan quickly rushed to my side while looking at Megan, "she needs to know the truth", Evan said. Megan retaliated in an angered tone, "I told you not to come back!! Get out of my house, immediately!!!". "Not until Patience knows the truth" Evan responded calmly. Megan stood to her feet quickly, "Get out now!! Or I call the police!!". "Leave him alone!!!" I shouted back at Megan. Soon after I saw a hand flying at me, I shielded my face with my arm while turning away, hoping my arm would take the hit. I felt nothing. I slowly lowered my arm to see Evan had caught Megan's hand. "Don't! Touch her." Evan sternly said to Megan. Megan took her hand back looking pissed and offended. "Now. I'm not leaving until Patience knows the truth and this is settled." Evan made it clear it Megan.

We all took our seats in the living room. Megan chose the rocking chair, and Evan took his place in the love seat next to me, closest to Megan. I assume this was for my protection. "Do I need to tell her, or are you going to?" Evan asked Megan. "I will not say a word. I want you to leave. You've done nothing but intrude and lie!! I refuse to lie to my niece about her family tree just because of some boy that waltzes into my home claiming he's my nephew!!! It would simply be cruel to get her hopes up that way!!!" Megan responded, not wanting to cooperate with the situation. I rolled my eyes at Megan's words, "She acts as if she's never mistreated me. What a fucking lie she just told." I thought to myself. Evan turned to me. "It looks like I'll be the one explaining this then", Evan spoke softly to me. He lowered his voice "It's probably for the best anyways", he said smiling at me. I gave him a faint smile back. "You didn't faint doing the dishes yesterday Patience, as I'm sure you have pieced that together by now. The dream you had, it wasn't a dream. It was real, and the part you can't remember, well, that's when you fainted." he told me.

Megan stood up. "Okay now, you need to leave! Get! Go! Shoo!" Megan told him motioning to the front door. "Wait!" I shouted, then asked "but how?!" Megan shot me a look annoyed. "It doesn't matter!! He's nothing but a liar that's toying with your emotions Patience!! Do you really think of all people, you, would be fortunate enough to be related to him?! How gullible!" Megan was shouting at me trying to push Evan to the door. I stood up and shouted, "Fine!!! If you won't welcome him here then I will just go with him!!" I ran up to my room and heard Evan calling out for me not to. I didn't listen. I grabbed my travel bag and packed my clothes, necessities, and make up. I grabbed my phone charger, and before opening my door I took one last look of my room. I thought about if I was leaving anything important behind. I rushed to my desk and picked up the necklace my long distance friend, Autumn, had sent to me in the mail. I knew for sure now that I wasn't leaving anything behind.

I rushed down stairs running into Evan, who was on his way up the stairs to come get me. "Patience, this isn't a good idea! You should really listen to your aunt and stay here." Evan was trying to convince me not to go with him. "No! It doesn't matter Evan. I'm going with you!! I've waited too long for a way out of this hell!! You're my brother, and if Megan won't allow you in my life then I will allow you in my life!! Now let's go!" I said to him as I grabbed his hand running out of the house and to his car. His car was unlocked so I opened the door and threw my bag in. I sat in the front seat, buckled my seat belt, and waited for him to get in.
