"Oh my god."

I started to pull out old photographs of my father. It was like a box of memories. There were photos, notes, cards, and little knick knacks. I looked to Kevin. "Well, if you were ever curious what Evan's dad looked like, here he is." I giggled and passed the photos over to Kevin. I continued to search through the box when I came across some baby photos. They were pictures of Evan when he was first born. There was one photo where my dad was holding him at the bedside of a woman, who I assumed was probably, obviously Evan's mother. "Is that Evan's mom?" I asked Kevin, showing him the photo. "Yup!" Kevin responded. "Wow. She's so gorgeous.." I continued to look through the box when I came across a note. I unfolded it, and started to read it.

"Evan!! Come look at this!!" I called for Evan after I had read the note. Evan had appeared at the door a few short moments later. "What is it?" He asked me as he was walking into my room. "Look." I told him as I handed him the photos. "I found a note in here too." I told him. "What did it say?" He asked while he was looking at the photos. "It was from my mom.. Before she passed away. She wanted my dad to go look for you and your mother. She didn't want you to grow up not knowing your own father. She wanted dad to bond with you and introduce us. She wanted all of us to be close.. Even though you weren't hers.. I think she saw you as another son." I summarized the note for Evan. "Really?" Evan asked. "Then why didn't he??" Evan proceeded. "I don't know.. Maybe he did? But he couldn't locate you and your mom? Or maybe he figured he'd do it later because he wanted to take care of my mom.. I mean. I know it's kind of shitty to drop your own kid.. But.. You have to give him the benefit of the doubt. It had to of been a hard decision... but if it helps anything, I love you Evan. And I'm really happy you found me. I'm really happy I have a big brother as great as you." I explained to Evan. "Awe. Thanks sis. I love you too." Evan walked over to me and gave me a really big hug. I hugged him back. "If you want those pictures, you can have them." I told Evan. "Thanks." Evan said with a smile on his face before exiting the room with the photos in his hand.

-

We jumped away from each other when we heard Evan's voice get closer to my door. I looked to the ground as the door opened. "Hey, dinner is ready guys!" Evan told us. "Okay! I'll be right out!" I responded, trying not to look at him. He cracked the door and I let out a sigh with a chuckle, and I put my hands to my face. "Oh my God! That scared the shit out of me!!" I laughed. "I bet my face is totally red! We should probably go get some food." I laughed more as I stood up and walked towards the kitchen.

It was about 10:00 PM, and I couldn't stop thinking about earlier. I don't normally keep a diary, but I had no where else to put these thoughts of excitement I had running through my mind.

"Dear Not My Diary,

Today started like shit. My best friend is totally fucked, and my ex is a lying sack of shit. But I'm really glad that I have Evan to fall back on now. And if I hadn't called him, today would not have turned out as great as it did. But I don't really want to write about my WHOLE day. I just want to skip everything and go to that one part that made it so amazing, so, here it goes.."

My door swung wide open. I jumped while trying to close my notebook. I turned around quick. "Oh.. It's just Kevin. Thank God." I let out a sigh of relief. "You scared the fuck out of me!" I told him. "Shh. Everyone is asleep." Kevin was smiling at me. "Already? It's only 10." I responded. "It was a long day. Anyways. What were you writing before I came in?" Kevin asked me. I could feel my cheeks turn blood red. "It's nothing." I told him. He looked at me. "What?! It really is nothing!!" I said defensive. What I was about to write about would be WAY to embarrassing to show him. "Okay, alright. I believe you." He told me. It got silent. "Soo. What are you doing up?" I asked him. "Ah. Just not tired yet. I knew you'd still be awake, so I figured I'd come bug ya." He told me. "Oh. Weelll. I was about to put a movie on and lay down. You're welcome to stay in here and watch it with me if you want though." I explained to him.

I decided that we could watch "Legend". It was one of my favorite movies of all time. I mean, come on. You have the beautiful princess, Satan, you have little goblins and wizards. Let's not forget the main part of the movie, the unicorns. This movie was absolute gold.

Kevin and I were laying next to each other watching the movie. I laid my head on his shoulder for comfort, and I closed my eyes.
