Heralds POV

"Uuuuuggggghhh... I feel terrible!"
"Oh, good you're up!"
Who is this? She looks kind of like a beefy wrestler...
"My name is carol, I'm the nurse who is going to be watching over you two! If anything is wrong, just mention my name on the digital list!"
" You said 'you two' ?"
"Yes, you're roommate"
"What's his name?"
"His name is Mike Worchester"
"Where is he now?"
"He is asleep now, you'll meet him later, but for now get some more rest. Watch some shows on the tele if you want."
Samantha's POV
"Hello there. I get that you can't speak, but here's pen and paper."
I jotted down the word thanks
"Now, what happened?"
When I woke up I took a shower, ate breakfast, and had a cup of coffee. Next thing I know, I can't breathe.
"Ok thanks. Keep the pen and paper to keep in touch with friends and family, then here, I also got you your phone so you can talk to people who aren't here."
Oh my god thank you so much!
"Anytime."
With that, the man walked out.
Heralds POV
"Hello herald. Can you tell us what went down this morning?"
"Who are you?"
"I am doctor Scott Frang. I am a detective working for the Los Angelas police department."
"What do you need to know?"
"What happened up until the time you got knocked out? Include waking up."
As I explained, the mans eyebrow furrowed when I told him what the note said.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing, nothing. Continue."
So I finished explaining.
"The note mentioned a broken coffee machine. But this goes against what your daughter said, she actually made coffee in it this morning."
"That must be how we discovered it wasn't working."
"Can I speak to your wife?"
"She isn't off work until 11pm, she works the graveyard shift."
"Ok. I'll contact her then. Until then, hold in there!"
