Lauren woke up at 10:00 AM. Her green eyes were bright and she was ready to seize the day. What the hell was wrong with her? She had never willingly woken up before noon in her life.

She picked up her phone to check for any texts. Her face and spirits fell only slightly upon finding no texts from Camila, but when she remembered the day, they went up once again. Saturday. It was Saturday. She was going to see Camila. She was more excited than
she'd been in a while. The sheer amount of excitement in her system was overwhelming her. Why was she even so excited? It was confusing.

Lauren got up out of her twin bed and looked around her dorm room. It was really the first time she'd had a good look at it. In the mornings she would always have to scramble out of bed to get to class on time, and at night it would always be too dark (or she'd be too drunk). She never stayed in her dorm room, but it was nice. It was a quaint little space with enough room to reflect the personalities of both girls living in it. Plus a kitchenette.

She grabbed her shampoo, soap, and towel and headed out the door to start her day. She walked to the floor bathroom with more purpose than ever. She was excited for the day to begin for once. It was a weird feeling, and Lauren had no idea why she felt it in the first place.

After her shower and daily routine, she returned to her dorm with just as much excitement as before. She snatched up her phone as soon as it was in sight and checked her notifications eagerly.

"What are you all excited about?" Keana asked.

"What?" Lauren turned to look at her roommate, "Nothing."

"Clearly not nothing, what's up?" her roommate asked again.

"I'm going out today and I wanted to see if I got any details, that's all," Lauren shrugged.

"Going out? With who?" Keana grinned cheekily.

"Just a friend and her friend. It's no big deal," Lauren brushed it off. It felt like a bigger deal than she made it out to be.

"Okay, whatever you say," Keana said.

Lauren had begun to get dressed when her phone buzzed. She stopped halfway through putting her shirt on to grab her phone and look at it.

C: Hey, so my friend Dinah and I are gonna grab a bite at a diner near my house in like 15 mins. Does that sound good?

Lauren smiled and typed her answer as best she could, given the fact that one arm was halfway through her shirtsleeve.

L: Sounds great :) what's the address?

Lauren walked up the steps to the entrance of the diner. The place was familiar to her, it was right by her old high school. She stepped through the glass doors and inside the building. She looked around at the tables to find Camila's familiar face. Her green eyes met a pair of brown ones and she smiled. Camila raised her arm up to beckon Lauren over and the girl made her way to the table where Camila and her friend were seated.

"Hey!" Camila greeted warmly.

"Hi," Lauren smiled back.

"Lauren, this is my friend Dinah. Dinah, this is Lauren," Camila introduced her friend.

"Nice to finally meet you," Dinah greeted.

"Finally?" Lauren asked.

"I've heard a lot about you. I'm glad I get to put a face to a name," Dinah smirked. Lauren directed her gaze to a wide-eyed, blushing Camila.

"I'm flattered," Lauren smiled. Camila's blush grew upon hearing her words. And Lauren couldn't deny that the pinkish tint in Camila's cheeks made her feel pretty damn good. Just in time to direct Lauren's attention away from Camila, a waiter approached their table.
