Connor POV:
"Ermm.. Yeah, I guess." I said staring at her "Wait. No. It depends. What is it?"
Christina laughed and sat up "I'm graduating this year"
"Yeah, me too."
"Really?" She looked puzzled.
"Yeah" I said, awkwardly holding my neck "We have the same classes"
"All of them?"
"Except History, Maths, and Science. I do high level History. Maths. And Science" I said fiddling with my glasses.
She looked unamused and annoyed "Good job, smart ass"
I run my fingers through my hair "Thank you".
I looked around, wanting to go back to the hallway and talk to Mary before she went to her next class. Don't judge me! It's just a 3 year difference. I'm 18, she's 15. 3 years is nothing.
"Do you ever stand still?"
I looked back at Christina. I didn't really like looking at her. I mean- she's really pretty and all but she seemed so lost from reality.
"No." I answered "I erm- yeah, ADHD"
"So, you're mentally ill?"
I stared at her. What? ADHD was, well I thought it was sort of a perk. I was always more alert than others and it actually helped me when it came to running away from jerks like James.
"No…Well. It's classified as a mental illness but-"
"Yeah, whatever! So do you want to hear my deal or not?" She said examining her black nails. Did this girl not know any other colour?
I sighed "I need to go to class"
"I want you to get me the grades I want and in exchange- I'll give you anything"
I turned to look at her "Anything?"
"Yeah?" she said biting her lip and pushing back her shoulders.
I shuffled from foot to foot. I thought about Mary.
"I really like this girl" I said softly.
I heard Christina burst into laughter "Dude! Are you legit? This is like the first time we've talked!"
I stared at her, with my mouth open. "Wait..You think I'm talking about- Oh god no. Mary. Mary Born. I, I like Mary Born."
Christina opened her out a little and all that came out was an "oh…yeah."
"Yeah. And I kind of find it hard to talk to girls"
"you're talking to me"
"It's hard for me to talk to girls who I like"
She raised her eyebrows and shook her head slightly "Wow…"
"Not that I don't like you. I'm just not attracted to you in any form or way" I said looking at her cigarette.
"Because I smoke and drink and do drugs?"
"You do drugs?"
"Whatever, nerd. You get me my grades, I'll get you this Mary bitch" Christina said looking at my neck. Which my hand flew up to cover.
"Don't call her a bitch. She's not a bitch" I said quickly.
She winked at me and blew me a kiss "Now fuck off."
"Gladly"
I walked down and hopped over the fence. Mary was walking to her German class.
I smiled. She was wearing black leggings, and a small white skirt with a plain white shirt. I liked the way she dressed. I liked the way she pulled at her hair and bit the inside of her cheek when she was nervous, I liked to music she listened to.
She was currently plugged in with her music, so when I passed her I took out her earphones and let them fall. As I walked away I glanced back to see her shake her head at me but she was smiling and laughing so I knew she wasn't too annoyed.
"You're an idiot, Connor"
I winked at her and walked into my high level History class smiling like the idiot I was.
Christina POV:
I got the nerd to do my work. Now all I needed to do was convince him that this girl liked him.
Who the fuck was Mary anyway?
I decided I'd go for a walk instead of going to class. Being at the back of the school, no one bothered me. I found a large hole in barbed wire fence and so I decided to go through it. I left my jumper behind but took my black leather jacket with me, I might not be back before night time.
I applied another layer of my purple lipstick, put on some sunglasses, and popped in another cigarette before walking off, my jacket over my shoulder. I was tiered of school. I just wanted to forget about college, school, and Tristan.
I suddenly didn't know where I was. Smoke was curling around me and going into my lungs. I dropped my cigarette and tried to locate my way through the fog.
I took off my glasses and stared hard. Trying to see.
I was in some sort of alley way. That wasn't too bad. I'd seen plenty of alleys like this before.
I saw a shadow.
"Hello?" I called out
"Hi there" someone crooned "I hope you don't mind me saying this, but I'm a bit hungry"
I rolled my eyes "We're in fucking America! There's a McDonalds like…everywhere"
A strange figure stepped out to me, and I tried to make out his face.
"I'm hungry" he said softly.
"You know what? How about I take you out for a McDonalds?" I said smiling. If I didn't show much emotion he might just leave.
"I have a better idea" he said coming closer.
This wasn't good.
This really wasn't good.
"Yeah? whats better than McDonalds?" I said laughing.
He stared at me and bit his lip "You."
I had no time to move. Before I knew it he was- he was biting me. I felt pain shoot through my body and my head was about to explode.
"Stop!" I yelled.
His teeth only tightened onto my neck and I screamed as loud as I could.
The world went black.

I woke up, bleeding heavily from my neck. I was alone and I felt, different. My body seemed stronger which made no sense and I stared at my arms in horror.
I was white! No, seriously. I was really pale.
I checked for my pulse, breathing hard. Nothing.
I started to panic.
I started to get hungry.
I stood up and realised I was taller and that my skin was flawless. I started to laugh at the thought. Strength, whiteness, pulse-less, and pretty.
"Chris, baby?" I said to myself "Aren't you in trouble?"
