What did you say?

Claire's POV~

I sigh and look at Sammy who was already staring at me

Shit, did he hear me? Fuck, Fuck, Fuck.

"What did you say?" his voice was soft and gentle

I didn't say anything and just looked at the sun setting before shutting my eyes

"Claire?" he whispers and i give him my attention

I raise an eyebrow

"Talk to me, please" he begs and i sit up

He follows my action and gives me a confused look

I can't talk to him.. Not now.. Not yet.

I climbed down and went back inside my room

Sammy just followed me like a lost puppy

I walked out of my room and scanned the house which was filled with memories of my family when we were still together and happy

I sigh as a tear rolled down my cheek

"Hey, whats wrong?" Sammy frowned

I shake my head and ran into my parents room and lock the door

Sammy's POV~

It's normal for Claire to run into a room and lock it but this was HER PARENTS room.

Who knows what could be there?!

All i know is that there are more dangerous stuff in there than those in her room

I quickly ran towards the door and knocked rapidly

"Open up, Open up" i punch the door

"DANIEL!" i call

And within seconds he was here with worry written all over his face

"Not again." he whines and hits the door, trying to break it down

The door was soon broken down by Daniel and we rushed in.

The sight made my heart ache.

Claire was on the edge of her bed, her elbows on her knees while her face was in her hands as she bawled her eyes off

"Claire..." i whisper

She mumbled things i couldn't understand

Daniel left with the same reason again

"Babygirl, dont shut me out again. I'd rather kill myself to see you struggle so much. I hate that i caused some of the reasons why you are struggling. I have no idea what you did to me but it somehow worked and now im attracted to you. I need you in my life." i spoke softly

She looked at me

"I get jealous when someone else gets your attention" she spoke

I gave her a confused face

"You didn't visit me all week because you were hanging out with a girl thats probably a girl from school.... Maybe a cheerleader" she pauses "Right after i told you that i loved you"

I frowned

She's right. I'm such a jerk.

I ran a hand through my hair and said nothing

She stood up and started to push me towards the door for me to leave

"What are you doing?" i ask

"Your not even gonna talk to me so why try" she says before slamming the door shut

"Im not letting you go that easily" i murmur

I sigh and slide down the door when i heard footsteps

I looked up and it was Daniel

"What happened there?" he asked

"I was a jerk thats what"

"What did you do?" he clenched his fists

"All week i didn't visit her because i was hanging with another girl.... Right after she told me she loved me. " i explain

"That was harsh man" he patted my shoulder

"Yeah, no shit." i pause "Now what?"

"I dont know but the one thing i know that every girl wants is for the boy not to give up on her even after everything he went through. She's just testing you to see wether your worth her time."
