IT'S BEEN SO LONG I'M SORRY I TRIED HARD

Ow.

Ow.

Oh, God I should've thought the aftermath through some more. I sat up, flushing with embarassment at the sting between my legs. Speaking of which, where on earth was Rogue?

I frowned, feeling a stutter of panic before the door squeaked open. In waltzed Rogue with a plate of breakfast, causing a huge, goofy smile to spread across my face. Pain be damned, Rogue was the sweetest man a person could ask. Plus, the man hath made bacon.

I'm pretty sure this is love.

"Bom dia, querida," he greeted, a flush crossing his caramel skin as I sat up, clutching the sheet around my body. He reached over as it slid down a shoulder, using the loose sheet to pull me in for a light, lingering kiss. He pulled back with a small smile, wrapping it firmly around me as if a pack of guys was about to charge in at any moment.

"Um.... Sup," I said back lamely, flushing red to the roots of my hair. He chuckled, flopping into bed by me without spilling food everywhere like I would have. I sat up, sitting indian style as we snacked off of the tray. We sat there watching eachother, him unblinking with a goofball adoring expression, me selfconcious with my hair looking like a barrel of tumbleweed.

"Don't act shy," he murmured softly, looking concerned.

"Well I am," I laughed nervously, picking at a grape.

"Then... I'll unshy you!!" he suddenly roared. I squeaked as he hopped to his feet on the mattres in one smooth movement, sending a strip of bacon into the abyss. He stooped down to snatch me by the waist, tossing me over his shoulder calmly before quietly getting down.

"What are you doing?" I screeched, spitting out hair that hung in my face.

"Carrying you to the shower since we have plans today," he said nonchalantly, swinging me a bit to stop my flailing.

"Where?"

"You'll see."

"I don't like surprises."

"This isn't the surprise, it takes up time BEFORE the surprise."

I crossed my arms, somehow feeling seasick. "Oh, huzzah," I snorted as he set me down.

"Get ye to the showers," he shot back, kissing my forehead before leaving.

"Get ye to the showers," I mocked, scrunching up my face. I turned on the water, letting it get as hot as I could bare before slipping inside, sighing in relief. At least none of that was as awkward as I'd feared it would be; I was half nervous he'd regret it. I fought the goofy smile trying to overwhelm my face.

He knew just how to make me feel okay with everything, and didn't act much different. Or at least not in a negative way.

I slipped out finally, biting my lip against the chill before peeking my head outside of the door. He wasn't in there. I quickly changed into some black shorts and an old white Aladdin tank top Id had for a while. I fishtailed braided my hair, tucking some curly cowlicks behind my ear before traipsing out. He stood waiting in the living room, looking gorgeous as always. Meh. Freaking always. He stepped forward, raising an eyebrow as he twirled his car keys around an index finger.

"Look who finally decided to join us," he taunted, smirk growing as I scowled. He laced our hands together as we walked out the door, kissing my wrist and palm, in a single gliding movement. I'd just let him open my door for me (I hated letting him do that) when he suddenly stood upright, blinking in surprise.
