The morning of everybody's fitting came and we all gathered down for breakfast. The children were awfully lively in the mornings but cheerful, Lewis on the other hand didn't sleep too well. He squirmed in the arms of he's mother, unhappy sobs passing he's lips. I watched the scene before me, a sudden reaction washing over me.

"Here, let me take him. You eat your breakfast." I kindly smiled at her noticing the bags under her eyes, Lewis's sobs dying down as he clapped he's hand in front of waiting for me to take him.

I sat back down in my own seat, rocking the little boy in my arms with waving the teddy in front of him. I smiled noticing he's better mood taking the chance to sit him up and try feed him. But just as I was about to open my mouth asking for it to be passed, it appeared in front of my hands. Looking up I noticed Nathaniel making faces at the young boy, making him laugh.

"Now, now young Lewis. I know what you are doing, you are trying to make a move on my lady. Has your father not taught you, to not take another man's wife ?" Lewis immediately laughed taking he's uncles words as a joke, we earned everybody's attention on us.

"Of course I have, it's not my fault my son is a charmer and your lady is a beaut. Deal with it, you have competition big Alpha." We laughed at the two cousins bickering at each other, a nice lightweight atmosphere filling the room.

"Ophelia may I ask why your hair is such an extrordinary colour ?" Isabellas voice boomed out, noticing little Poppy sitting on her lap.

"My mom had told me when I was young I had midnight black hair, but one night she noticing a glow coming from my cot but once she got to me, my hair had already turned snow white. I personally think it's just a children's story she told me so I'm not really sure what had happened." I chuckled remembering asking my mother as a young girl.

I didn't take notice of Nathaniel suddenly tensed and have a complete change of emotion, sitting stone still. I took the spoon from him going back to feeding the young boy who was wriggling on my lap, wanting more.

"Excuse me please, I have work to do." And just like that he left. Everybody looked at each other wondering who did what wrong, but nobody did.

I handed Lewis back to he's mother, not saying a word quickly leaving the hall running after Nathaniel. I followed he's scent to see he went inside he's office, the door slightly opened. But once I was going to push the door open, I stopped myself hearing he was talking to somebody.

"They didn't even tell her the truth ! How could they, she was their daughter. Not biological but they were still supposed to care for her, even as adopted parents." My hand flew to cover my mouth when I gasped at he's words.

It's a lie..

"Her biological parents left her out on the coldest day of the year when she was a baby, she was all white with blue lips when they found her. Her hair never turned back to their natural shade." He spoke out sadly again once the other person had asked what happened.

I didn't realise my hand was resting against the door when it creaked open, the two men turned their attention on me Nathaniels face immediately dropped.

"Ophelia -"

"No, I don't want to hear it." Tears filled my eyes as I turned to run the other direction, feeling Nathaniels shame radiating off him.

Just when I was about to run after her, Xavier stopped me. Telling I should give her time, but I just brushed him off thinking with my own head. I knew where she was going, down to Dominance where she felt most safe and comfortable.

But nothing can beat the Alphas power.
