"Ophelia, come I want to teach you a dance. It's a tradition that the newly wedded have a first dance before all the guests." He spoke firmly to me, taking my hand sending electricity through my body slowly gliding me around the dance floor.

Hes hand slid down the arch of my back, pulling my body closer to he's making my mind fussy. I felt faint a little not being used to he's touch or being so close to him, it was an unfamiliar feeling.

"Sometimes, the woman leads. Other times its the man he's leader skills seeping into the dance, but it only matters on the two." I carefully listened to him, following he's steps however he taught me.

The day had passed by us quickly and we danced through the night, earning an audience from the others who came to watch and join us on the dance floor. I noticed a piano in the corner making me way towards it once we took a break, running my fingers across its smooth surface.

Nathaniel sat behind it, he's figures gliding against the keys soft music filling the hall.

"I'm looking for places to run and hide
I'll never forget you, Lord knows I've tried
Wish I could see you without closing my eyes
But I know, I know, it's so far behind

Fading out, fading out, can't get right
I'm tossing out, turning out every night
I'm losing my, losing my goddamn mind
Ask me why I did it, ask me why I did it."

I sang to the melody closing my eyes, to leave the words naturally pass my lips. Some words explained how I felt, everyone seemed to know my words had a deeper meaning than just a song in the moment.

The three girls Poppy, Elizabeth and Sophia tugged at my dress before pulling back on the dance floor where the family was dancing. After a few moments long fingers wrapped around my wrist swinging me around, realising it was Dominic twirling me around to teach me more moves.

"See my cousin, Nathaniel here isn't the best in dancing. Me on the other hand, am an expert." I laughed turning to look at Nathaniel who was still playing the piano, with a not so pleased look on he's face.

"Aunt Ammelia !" The children cheered in sync, running all to give her a hug.

"Oh how lovely to see our bride practising some dancing and Nathaniel, you should be the one leading her." I could hear him groan in annoyance like a young teenager, the music stopping and before I knew it I was yanked way from Dominics grip.

I gasped leaning my body against Nates as he protectively stood in front of me, letting Dominic who I belonged to. He rolled he's eyes in annoyance turning around from us.

"Newly mated couples are awfully protective." He muttered under he's breath, going to dance with he's young daughter.

"You two, will be presented before our people tomorrow. Ophelia you grown will be brought to your chamber tomorrow morning, we will leave once everybody is ready." I nodded hesitantly, slightly dreading the thought of stepping up to meet everybody.

All these months I've been locked inside the castle, not meeting anyone apart from the beta, my lady and now parts of the family.

"I didn't know you could sing, and don't be afraid the people will love you." It seemed like he wanted to smile, but instead he's face remained stone cold.

"You never asked."

You never do.
