Shaking (Sarah Whitney x Will Target)

Chapter Two

Pepper woke up around the same time as the rest of the horses, when Will and Bailey walked in to the barn. They went straight to their horses, getting them ready. As soon as Sarah walked into the barn, Pepper remembered hearing Zoey ask Sarah to take care of her, until Zoey came back later. Pepper watched Sarah fill up a bucket with water for Scarlet, before she walked over to Pepper when she was finished with Scarlet. "Hey girl, Zoey is late today" Sarah spoke calmly giving Pepper a carrot. "Since when did you start being nice to Sarah?" Calypso asked snickering along with Button and Aztec. "None of your business" Pepper snapped.

Sarah patted Pepper's muzzle. "They are making fun of you, because of me aren't they?" Sarah whispered in Pepper's ear. Pepper could sense from Sarah that she was sad, which made her angry at the other horses. Also their owners, Sarah was not supposed to feel out of the group. If it was Zoey, Pepper would be devasted. "What's wrong with Sarah?" Scarlet asked when Sarah had left the barn. Will was standing near Scarlet's barn to look at her hooves, but it was not as easy as he thought it would be. "She is just too selfish and she keep pushing the other girls away" Aztec spoke making Scarlet angry. "Shut up! Aztec" Pepper warned when Will went to make Scarlet lift up one of her feet so he could look at her hooves. "Bailey come here" Will spoke, telling Bailey to lift up her foot. Scarlet of course refused, since they didn't treat Sarah right. "Come on girl" Will tried again with no success. After the tenth time the duo gave up on her.

A few hours later Zoey arrived going straight to Pepper, who was looking at Scarlet's stall. Zoey took a look at Scarlet who lightened up when Sarah came into the stall. "I'm going over to a friend of mine. Do you want to join me, Zoey?" Sarah asked Zoey who agreed. They got their horses ready to get stopped by Bailey. "Where are you two going? We haven't checked Scarlet hooves yet" Bailey spoke, just as Will walked towards them. "I checked them, they are good Bailey. The two girls took of towards Roselyn ranch.

By the port a girl with light brown hair down to her elbow stood waiting. She was wearing white riding trousers, black knee high boots and a sea green sweater with a white collar. "Zoey this is Catherine Roselyn" Sarah spoke getting down from Scarlet's back. They greeted each other before they took their horses to the paddock. "That's my horse Cassie, she is a Thoroughbred" Catherine told Zoey. Cassie was pure black with a white star on her forehead. Her mane and tail were black also with white highlights. She also had four white socks.

Pepper looked at Cassie who came up next to them. "Hello I'm Cassie, Scarlet and I have met before" She spoke looking at Pepper. "I'm Pepper, the rest of the horses are being rude to Scarlet back at Horseland." Pepper spoke, just as Scarlet came over. "Are the other horses rude to you Scarlet?" Cassie asked Scarlet who just hung her head. "Just a bit, I know Sarah has been thinking about taking me out of Horseland if they keep ignoring her" Scarlet answered making Pepper gasp. "I could talk to Chilli though" Pepper offered, Scarlet just shook her head.     

"I think we need to head back, it's getting dark" Sarah told Catherine who Zoey took a liking too really quickly. "I'll see you two soon, I hope" Catherine called to the duo, before they made their way back to Horseland. Will and Bailey were standing by the barn waiting for them. "You are late" Bailey spoke as they took their horses to the stall. Molly, Chloe, Nanni and Alma were standing at the other side of the barn looking at something. "What are you looking at?" Sarah asked curiously. "Oh it's nothing" Molly spoke before they went to show it to Zoey. "Sarah? You need to clean your stall" Bailey spoke, Sarah frowned going to muck  out of Scarlet's stall. She finished up in a hurry getting a new blanket for Scarlet out. Before she went home for the day.
