The day was finally here, it was Monday and Sarah had never been this nervous before. She promised her dad that she would speak to whoever it was that made her want to stay away from Horseland for a few days. While she had been away she had learned that Bailey and Will had managed to get Jade to go on a trail ride with them, while riding her Arabian mare, Scarlet.
Sarah never thought that Jade would put so much work into riding again, while Sarah wasn't even at Horseland. The thought made her happy. Although she couldn't stop thinking about what she was supposed to do. Walking out of her limo she felt like everyone were staring at her. The girls at least, she couldn't find Will or Bailey anywhere.
Heading over to the stable Sarah made her way inside looking for either one of the boys. Seeing neither of them she went over to her horse and got her tack on. "We are going on a little ride, Scarlet". Sarah said. She tried to find the boys one more time, checking their horses's stalls too. It was around twenty minutes later that Will and Bailey showed up, spotting Sarah about to lead Scarlet out of the stable.
"Hi Sarah!" Will's voice made Sarah turn around, her smile not meeting her eyes one bit. Taking in her not so happy mood, made Will quite concerned about her. "Will, I need to talk with you about something". Sarah said, making the cousins look between each other. "Alone. Thought we could do it on a trail ride, been dying to get back up in the saddle". Sarah spoke, making Will unsure. He got Jimber ready to head out anyway, leaving Bailey alone.
They rode slowly up to one of the large flower meadows just above Horseland. They could clearly see what anyone else was up to, but at the same time they couldn't been spotted. They dismounted their horses and hitched them to a nearby standing oak tree. "What did you want to talk about?" Will asked, looking concerned over at Sarah.
"Well I have thought a lot about this and I need to now where you stand. Do you remember that we kind of had a moment at the picnic a few weeks ago?" Sarah asked, not knowing how to start the conversation. She was literally sweating. Her heart was beating faster and faster for every second it took Will to answer her.
"When it was just the two of us?" Will asked, not noticing how nervous Sarah seemed to be.
"Yeah".
"Well I mean, we are obviously still friends and I would like to keep it that way. Are you alright though? You have been gone for quite a few days". Will turned to face Sarah, wondering if she could trust him enough to answer.
"I like to be your friend too, Will. I just...I am alright. I was going through some personal stuff and I just needed a break from Horseland". Sarah admitted, not knowing where this was going.
"Who were you avoiding?"
"For god sake, Will! You cannot be that daft! It was you, I was avoiding running into you! We kissed and then we never talked about it. How am I supposed to know about your feelings, when you keep them buckled up all the damn time". Sarah screamed. Her body was starting to shake from all the frustration that was build up in her body. She was happy that she had told someone, about what was bugging her. Although this was not the way she wanted it to go. She never lost her temper.
"Oh, you talking about the kiss? I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, Sarah" Will exclaimed. He felt pretty damn embarrassed for not catching on sooner. His head sure was as thick as a stone wall.
