Shaking (Sarah Whitney x Will Target)

Chapter 11

Sarah was quite excited to be back at Horseland although she made sure to be at the stable early in the morning or when the rest of the trainers were out. She was not ready to face them yet. Since the competition they were attending was for trio pairs she knew that Molly, Alma and Nani would be one pair. She had also heard that Will, Bailey and Chloe would be one pair. She couldn't honestly wait to join her first competition in what felt like forever. She was proud to have such great riders as Zoey and Catherine on her team though. She had been training quite hard with Scarlet and she had even mastered an obstacle she could not do before the fall. 

Right now she stood in Scarlet's stall getting her ready for the competition. She had even braided her mane. "Are you ready?" Zoey asked as they were meant to leave before the rest off the trainers at Horseland came to get their horses. Taking all three horses away in Sarah's horse trailer Sarah, Zoey and Catherine arrived early at the competition. which gave them time to practice on the field. Sarah spotted the rest of the Horseland team arrive at the the competition as Scarlet was hitched to the fence along with Pepper and Cassie too. 

"Today we have two pairs from Horseland, one from Roselyn Ranch, Cleveland Ranch and Olympic Ranch. We are excited to see who will win today with such great riders among us. First out we have Nani Cloud representing Horseland!" The announcer said loudly. Her round was clear along with Alma, but Molly made a mistake.

"After seeing both off our teams representing Horseland. We are ready to welcome a talented trainer that has been a ghost this last year. here she is Sarah Whitney representing Roselyn Ranch!" The announcer announced. 

Zoey watched closely as Sarah made a perfect clear round. She mastered the hogsback, square oxer, tripple combination and the water jump perfectly. There were nothing negative that could be said about the round she just took. 

"As we all know it is important for a show jumper to have the scope and courage to jump large fences as well as the athletic ability to handle the sharp turns and burts of speed, which is necessary to navigate the most difficult courses. Here we have a great example off how it should be done. That was a full clear round for Sarah Whitney and her horse Scarlet!" The announcer said smiling brightly.

During the rest of the competition Sarah and Will were the only ones with clear rounds. The judges had decided that the rider with the most elegant moves and best speed would become the winner. It was nerve wrecking for the crowd to watch as they had clearly no idea about who would win the contest.

"And the winner is.....Sarah Whitney and her arabian mare Scarlet!" The judges announced making Sarah grin widely. "Oh my gosh Scarlet, we did it!" Sarah exclaimed as she was pulled in a hug by Will who had rushed over to her. "Congratulations Sarah!" Will had spoken as Sarah tried to not blush by having him so near her. She could literally smell his scent lingering on her clothes. "Thanks Will!" Sarah replied, finally finding words being able to leave her mouth.

I feel so bad for not updating earlier. I mean it almost a year between each time I update these kind of stories. Updated 24th of January 2018. I also want to inform you that my knowledge about horses and horse shows are just from what I have seen as a kid.
