"I talked with Jade and she said that she was starting to feel more welcomed at Horseland". Sarah dad told his daughter. He had taken a few days off work to be able to be there for his girl when she needed him the most. "Oh". Sarah looked up at him happily. "She told me that she had went on a trail ride together with Chloe and Zoey, and they had so much fun together. She also said that she thinks she might be ready to do jumps with her horse soon". Her dad added, while trying to figure out why her daughter wasn't feeling the best. "That's good". Sarah revealed leaning back in her bed.
"What's bothering you love?" Her dad asked straight out. "Well, I like someone and then I realised that he is far out of my league". Sarah replied sadly, looking down at her lap. "Ah so it's a boy. Do I know him?" Sarah gave a nod letting her dad continue talking. "Well then I would advice you to talk to him and hear him out. It might not be as much of a deal as you think. He might be fond of you. If it is Will or Bailey, then I don't mind. They are both great boys and I am pretty sure that they only want whats best for you". Sarah's dad. "Thanks dad, I guess it's better to try then not do anything at all". Sarah revealed, pulling her hair away from her face.
"How about you stay home to over the weekend and then you go back to Horseland on Monday. I am alright with that if you promise to talk to whoever this is about. What do you say?" Her dad offered, making Sarah think about it. "That's sounds like a plan. I can do that". Sarah informed her dad smiling brightly. She let herself lean back into the pillows. Hoping that everything was alright at Horseland and that Scarlet would forgive her, when she was back.
*🐎At Horseland🐎*
Scarlet was hoping that Sarah would soon be back, but she wasn't surprised when Zoey came to her stall and gave her som treats. She also made sure Scarlet had fresh hay and cold water, before taking her time grooming Scarlet's coat.
"You want to go out on the pasture together with Pepper and Chili, while Chloe and I help Jade?" Zoey asked earning a happy neigh in return.
Scarlet was let out on the pasture together with the other horses. "Woah, Scarlet you look good". Chili said looking over the mare. "Thanks, Chili. Zoey groomed me and took her time. I think Chloe and Zoey are trying to help take their time with me with Sarah being ill. I miss her so much". Scarlet replied, eating some grass.
Pepper nuzzled her muzzle with Scarlet's to cheer her up. "I am sure Sarah will be back in no time. Jade has made progress though". Pepper said changing the conversation. The thought that Sarah's friend was progressing made Scarlet a little bit happier, not so much that she forgot why she was upset in the first place. "Karisha used to fly over ever obstacles together with Jade. They made it seem like it was the easiest thing they had ever done, it was if they didn't use any energy. I cannot wait for you to see them in action". Scarlet said proudly, while keeping her eyes on the Friesian mare.
"Hi Scarlet". Jade's voice broke Scarlet out of her thoughts. "Bailey and Will came up with this idea that to help me get back to riding, I could take you out for a ride. What do you say gurl?" Jade asked, making Scarlet turn to Karisha who now was standing on the other side of the fence next to her owner. "It's fine by me, Scarlet. I am a little tired from that training anyway. It would help Jade and I know you want to go for a ride". Karisha told her friend, while they swapped places. Jade led Scarlet smoothly over to the barn to attach her tack correctly.
Scarlet quickly noticed how soft and smooth Jade was with her movements. She made sure that nothing was wrong before she led Scarlet back out to greet the boys. "Looks like you got her tack on perfectly". Will said, before getting up on Jimber's back. Jade patted Scarlet gently, before she made her way up in the saddle.
Scarlet made sure that she kept a steady pace while Jade had her reins. She wouldn't want to scare off Jade anymore than she already was. The fact that Jade even made the move to want to go on a ride with Scarlet when Sarah was gone, meant the world to Scarlet. She was secretly hoping that Jade would be back in the saddle like before by next weekend, but who knows.
