I smiled up at the ceiling. My alarm just woke me up. I've only had like three and a half hours of sleep and I have school. I don't see why the boys won't just let me quit. My door opened quickly and I glanced at it. It was Simon. He looked so tired, but smiled nonetheless. "Good morning beautiful." He said as he laid down beside me. He laid on his stomach and I played with his hair a little bit. "Why don't you go back to sleep? I can drive." I said as his eyes began to close. "I'm not tired." He said with a shrug. I rolled my eyes. "Bitch, please." I said and flipped my imaginary hair. My hair was up, so I couldn't actually flip it. He smirked. "I can drive. Go to sleep." I said. "I will after you leave." He groaned and sat up. He's so sweet. I sighed. "Fine." I said and got up. He laid there, watching me as I walked towards my closet. "Would you like to pick out my outfit today?" I asked him, after staring at the clothes. He looked at me, then back at the closet. "Those jeans." He said an pointed at a pair of white skinny jeans. I grabbed them and held then up. He nodded then looked back at the closet. "And that shirt." He said and pointed to a quarter sleeve sweater thing that's white and has 'NEW YORK' written on it in black. I pulled it out and he nodded. "No merch today?" I asked with a smirk as I grabbed an undershirt with the shirt. "Time for a change." He said with a small smile as he stood up. "I'll be in the kitchen." He said as he grabbed my bag and took it with him down the stairs. I got dressed quickly. And I went to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth then took my hair down. I brushed it, leaving it kind of wavy and stared at the mirror. I didn't know what to do with it. So, naturally, I put it in a messy bun. I pulled out some hairs to frame my face and looked for my makeup bag. I couldn't find it. I went downstairs and into the kitchen. My bag was by the front door, as usual and Simon was sitting on his phone. "Do you know where my makeup is?" I asked. "No." He said and shook his head. I just nodded and went back upstairs to continue my search. I couldn't find it anywhere, but a day without makeup wouldn't kill me. I went to my room and grabbed my phone and some socks. When I went into the kitchen, Simon was eating cereal. "I couldn't find it. I think I left it in Coventry." I said as I put my socks on. "You can just buy some more." He said with a shrug. I nodded and made a bowl of cereal for myself. He gasped suddenly, making me jump a little. "Fucking hell, Simon." I said as I out a hand over my chest. He laughed. "I just got an idea for a video." He said in between laughing at me. My phone buzzed. It was Levi.
L-Give me a ride to and from school?
M-Sure. I'm still eating, so I'll text you before I leave.
"Am I driving?" I asked as I drank some milk from my bowl. "Actually, let me because I got to go get some things for my new video whenever you go makeup shopping after school." He said. "Okay well we gotta take Levi to school and take him to wherever we're going afterwards." I said. Simon just nodded. I took our bowls to the sink and washed them. I put my shoes on as Simon put his on. "Does this match my outfit?" I asked. "Why the hell are you asking me?" Simon asked as he grabbed his keys. "Because you picked out my outfit so I figured that I would need your approval for shoes as well." I said as I grabbed my bag. He just smiled and walked outside and towards the car. I climbed in beside him and texted Levi. He was waiting outside when we got to his house. "I missed you guys so much." He said as he got in. "School without you was miserable." He said. I smiled in response. "We've got to go shopping after school." Simon said. Levi just nodded. No one knows about me and Simon, but I have a feeling that was going to change. As we pulled into the school parking lot, I felt nervous for some reason. "Have a good day." Simon whispered as he hugged me. I just nodded and got out. I walked slowly with Levi to the school. As I walked in as looked to my right, I saw them. My parents, with who I guess was the boy they adopted. Ms. Johnson saw me and waved me in. "Meet me by my locker." I told Levi. He nodded and I went to the office, refusing to look at my parents. "Great to see you back. Did you have fun in Coventry?" Ms. Johnson asked. I nodded. I told her where I went, so I could do my schoolwork in advance. "This is a new student in your grade. Could you show him to his first lesson?" She asked. Slowly, I looked over to the wide-eyed boy. "Are you Mackenzie?!" He yelled excitedly. Great, a fan. "That's me. Are you a fan?" I asked and took a step closer. He nodded quickly. "I've always watched you with the Sidemen. It's awesome to-" he started. My, his mom cut him off. "I don't want her anywhere near my son." She said snootily. "You're the one who brought him to my school." I said. I'm not afraid of them anymore. "You two know each other?" Ms. Johnson asked, stepping between us. "Yes." She said, but nothing more. "Mackenzie, how do you know her?" Ms. Johnson asked. I was getting pissed. "None of anyone's damn business." I said sharply and turned on my heel, walking briskly into the hall. She didn't chase after me. When I had gotten to my locker, I felt like crying, but I didn't. "What was that about?" Levi asked me. "She just wanted me to show the new kid around." I said, telling him the truth, just not all of it. "So where is he?" He asked. Now it was the lying time. "He was a fan and Ms. Johnson didn't want him to bug me." I said while grabbing the books I needed. "Why do you have a backpack when we have lockers?" Levi asked after watching me for a while. "So I can take my homework home. I'll put it in a specific folder and when the bell rings to go to P.E. I'll put all of my books in here and carry them in my backpack throughout the day." I explained. He nodded. He never used his locker, he just carried his stuff by hand and took his books home. We walked to go to our first class in almost silence. We would subtly make comments about teachers that we didn't necessarily like. Well that I didn't like, he was still too new. Lucille hadn't said a word to him, which made me proud. But today was different. We took our seats in class, it soon filled with students slowly. Lucille and her friend that were in the class came in right after we sat down. It was just us. She took her seat in front of me and turned around in her seat to face Levi. I bit my lip, trying not to say anything. I listened intently to what was being said. "Hey cutie." She teased, twirling her hair. He looked awkwardly me than back at her. He smiled. "Hey." He breathed out. That wasn't his voice. What was she doing to him already? "Why have I never noticed you before?" She asked, leaning slightly forward so he could see her cleavage. "I don't know. I've been here for two weeks hanging out with Mackenzie." He said and gestured to me. Oh god, what has he done? "Oh. That's why. I tend not to pay attention to trash like her." She said. I leaned back in my chair and bit my upper lip and tapped my foot. "What's wrong? Jealous that I'm taking away your little boy toy." She asked, still playing with her hair. Levi was silent because he had no idea what was going on, but we did. Her friend giggled at that one. "Why would I be jealous of you? I'm sure you have at least three STD's by now, so I'm good thanks." I said with a smirk and a shrug. "Don't make me come across this desk and-" she started. "And what? Beat me up? I think we know how that's going to end." I cut her off. She looked back at Levi. "What do you say I get your number? Then we could have fun and you wouldn't have to suffer with her." She said and poked out her chest and butt. I hope she snaps her back. Levi pulled out a piece of paper and scribbled his number down on it. Is he actually serious?
*Skip time to lunch*
We took our usual seats in the corner of the lunchroom, all alone. I had been a little distant from him ever since he gave Lucille his number. I looked around and saw the boy from this morning sitting by himself. Poor him. "Do you think we should invite him over?" Levi asked, reading my mind. I just shrugged and took a bite of my salad. "What's up with you?" He asked. "What do you mean?" I asked, I was going to make him feel bad. "You've been a little off all day." He said and pushed his tray away. "You're the one who gave the girl who called me 'trash' right in front of you your number." I said. "She's really hot and she thinks I'm cute. If you were my friend, you'd be happy for me." He said. "Let's not go down that friend road because you're the one who sat there and said noting when she made fun of me. Is that right?" I asked, my hand hitting the table. "Yeah, but you should be happy because a girl actually wanted my number in general. No matter who it is." He said. "She doesn't want your number, she wants your dick." I said bluntly. His face went red. "That's not true." He protested. "How much you want to bet?" I asked, turning to face him completely. "How are we going to bet on that?" He asked. I smirked. "I bet she asks for a dick pic tonight." I said, holding out my hand for him to shake. He smirked. "You're on." He said and shook my hand firmly. I am so going to win this bet.
