"Got the boost boys!" I heard everyone yell throughout the house, waking me up. I groaned. I had been getting woken up a lot lately. It gets a little old. "SHUT UP!" I yelled. "No!" I heard Simon yell. I jumped out of bed and went to his room. I opened the door quickly and he didn't take his eyes off of the screen. I walked over to him and just stared at him. Taking in his features. He held out the controller to me. I took it and sat on the arm of his chair and began playing. Simon commentated. I didn't say a word. I finished the race, in first. "Oh my god Simon! How did you beat me? You were last two fucking minutes ago!" I heard Vik yell from the other room. I smirked. "That information is classified. All I can say is that you guys suck enough to get beat by a girl." Simon said smiling. I handed him the controller and went to Josh's room. Every time they recorded GTA, it could last for hours. I feel like this session was going to last a while. I grabbed the controller from his hands and he gladly passed it over. He did the same thing that Simon did. "THAT'S GOT TO BE MACKENZIE!! THERE'S NO WAY HE IS GOOD ALL OF A SUDDEN!" I heard Simon yell. I continued playing for Josh for a few races. "MY TURN!" Vik yelled. I then went and played for Vik. They liked it when I did this. Sometimes I would do it for someone without anyone knowing. The fans, however, hated it. They all thought that I was intruding on their recordings. I honestly didn't care. I can do what I want. I went downstairs after a few races with Vik. I wanted to eat, as usual. The boys always question how I can stay so fit and eat as much as I do. I honestly don't know. Sometimes I would go for runs at the adoption house. It's been a few days since I've moved in, and I haven't done anything physical besides a few football videos with the guys. I guess I should start running again. I ate some cereal and went back to my room. I was on my computer when my door opened. "Knock?" I asked sassily to the person who opened my door. It was Simon. "Wanna read the comments on my video? See if you need to start YouTube?" He asked, ignoring what I said. I just nodded and he came over. "Stand up." He said. I did as told and he took my seat. "Isn't that kind of rude?" I asked raising an eyebrow. He patted his knee, telling me to sit down. "Sit." He added, typing something in the YouTube search bar. I sat down on his knee. "I haven't watched the video yet." I said as he as he scrolled through some of the comments. "You can watch it after we make you a channel." He said cockily. I rolled my eyes and read through some comments. Most of them were kind of mean, saying things like 'Please don't make her a YouTube channel! She's not funny or pretty!' Or 'SHE'S BASICALLY A GIRAFFE!' One even said 'She shouldn't even be allowed to live, why would she make a YouTube channel?!' That one really hurt, because I believed it. Some others were positive like 'YES! Make a YouTube channel Mackenzie! Please! You're so funny!' Most of the positive ones made me smile, but I couldn't stop thinking about the mean ones. The hateful ones. These people hate me, for no reason at all. That's the thing, society doesn't like people like me. Real people. Not fake people with perfect lives and only have to worry about what to wear or how to fix their hair. People like me, people who hate themselves because everyone else does. I've had plenty of people hate me, and I constantly get reminded of it. People who have ever been through shit in their lives. Society discards us, like getting a bad Hazard in FIFA. No body cares about us. "Don't listen to them. They're just jealous." Simon said patting my back. I looked at him. "What is there to be jealous about? I'm just a fucking giraffe that nobody likes. And don't even try to say that you guys care about me, because I'm just another charity case." I said standing up and heading over to my bed. I sat down and put my head in my hands. Simon sat beside me. "We all care about you. You know we do. You're just pissed off right now, and you're confused. We love you, Mackenzie. We truly do." He said softly. I sighed. He was right, at least I hope he was. "I really hope you're not lying to me. Because I love you guys." I said, trying not to cry. "I'm not lying. I would never hurt you." Simon said, barely above a whisper. I felt his arms wrap around me. I sighed, giving in to the warm hug. "How about we make that channel?" I said, pulling away. He nodded and helped me set everything up. I decided to just post gaming stuff and vlogs. Kind of like the guys, just a little different. A little me. It was called 'KenzieRenae' (idk if that actually exists. If it does, sorry.). "Does that mean we can call you Kenzie now?" Simon asked, making me look at him. I shrugged. "I don't care what you call me. As long as it's not gonna piss me off." I said looking down. "You're hot when you're mad." He said. I looked at him, he was smiling cheekily. I hit his chest playfully. "I hate you." I said before laughing. "Hey. I'm not lying." He said, completely serious. I stood up and walked over to my bed, laying down and staring at the ceiling. Simon lied down beside me. "Tired?" He asked me. I looked at him. "Well I got woken up in the middle of the night!" I yelled. He chuckled. "Well now, you'll be a part of the recording. So you'll already be awake." He said, still staring at the ceiling. I sighed. "I don't know if I want to be. You guys' fans hate it when I'm in those videos. They thing I'm ruining the whole 'Sidemen' thing." I said. "Then be a part of the Sidemen." He said. I sat up and looked at him, he was completely serious. He sat up too. "I'm good. I'll just chill with the sidemen of the Sidemen." I said, looking in his eyes. "The what?" He asked. I giggled. "You know. The Cals, Lewis, and everyone else that you're friends with that aren't in the Sidemen." I said. He chuckled. "Suit yourself." He said with a shrug. I lied back down on the comfortable bed, eventually falling asleep.
I woke up a few hours later. It was 10. I looked over and saw Simon was peacefully asleep beside me. I looked down. His arms were wrapped around my waist. I smiled. I really did like Simon. I tried to get up, but his grip on me tightened. "Get off me!" I yelled groggily. "No! You're staying with me." He said, pulling me closer. I stopped struggling. His morning voice was so sexy. "Damn boy." I said under my breath. "What?" He asked groggily, his eyes still closed. "Oh nothing." His eyes fluttered open. "Good morning." He said. "Can I get up now?" I asked, trying to get out of his grip. He shook his head and pulled me even closer. I stopped moving. "I quit." I said. He smiled. I heard a knock on my door and Simon quickly let me go. He got out of bed and sat in my desk chair. I opened the door to reveal Josh. "Simon in here?" He asked. I nodded and opened the door so he could come in. "What's up Josh?" Simon asked, obviously still tired. "Did you sleep in here?" Josh asked. I felt myself blush and Simon just nodded. "Okay then. Do you want to record a video with me? We could record a Q&A or something." Josh said to Simon. Simon shrugged and stood up. "See you later Mackenzie." Josh said giving me a small wave. I smiled in response. "We will record later." Simon said with a smirk and left the room, closing the door. I sat down on my bed and began scrolling through social media. I couldn't really focus on anything, though. I couldn't stop thinking about what Simon said. These guys loved me. The only other people that love me was Cal and Miss Riley from the adoption center. I guess this is my new family, and I couldn't be happier.
