Miranda's pov

"I have to be honest with you." He turns around after buttoning his shirt in front of the mirror. "What's that?" He asks. "I didn't really remember anything. I just didn't want to lose the opportunity with a boy who loves me so much." He walks over and hugs me tight. "Baby girl, you never would've lost me. I've been here all these months, watching over you and I always will." He whispers. Tears push at my eyes. The door slams open. It's my mom and dad!! "Oh." I start. "Crap." He finishes, locking eyes with me. My parents look pissed. "I told you to stay away from him!" My dad yells, instantly pissing me off. I grab Jason's hand confidently. "Never." I say. My parents get even more mad. "You are breaking up with him and coming home with us now." My mom says, grabbing my arm. I just grip Jason's hand tighter and pull free. "I'm not leaving him. You can't make me!" "He's a liar. Whatever he told you was a lie!" My dad yells. "I don't believe you!" I scream back. Jason's been silent through the whole thing. He glares at his boots. "They are lying right Jason?" He looks up at me quickly. "Yeah, I just am shocked they'd stoop that low to keep you away from me." He says. I hold his other hand now too. "It doesn't matter Jason. I love you and my parents aren't gonna stop me." My dad grabs both my arms, pulling me away from him. Tears stream down my cheeks as I struggle to pull free. "Jason!" I cry. He stares at his boots again, his hands in fists at his sides. "Jason! Help me!" "I can't." I stop fighting too shocked. "Why?!" "I can't go against your parents." "Yes you can! If you care about me at all, you would!" I cry. He looks up, meeting my eyes. Tears coursing down his cheeks. I pull free of my parents. "If you care-" I start to repeat. He crosses the room, grabbing me around the waist and pressing his lips to mine. My hands fall to my sides. His grip on my waist gets tighter. My dad grabs my arms again, pulling me away from him again. "We are leaving." He gripes, pulling me back. I'm too dazed to even resist. That kiss said it all and the look in his eyes says, "I'll come for you later." I nod, tears in my eyes.

*30 minutes later*

I was sitting on the bed, staring at my hands when I hear him whisper. I look at my window and open it quickly. "What about my parents calling the cops?" I whimper as he jumps in. "You're worth going to juvi for." He whispers, kissing me.

*5 minutes later*

"So you still don't remember anything?" He asks, while we lay on my bed, just talking. "No, but I'm ready to make new memories. I love you and that's all that should matter. Maybe you could remind me." He smiles. "Tell me some stuff." "Ok, junior prom. Someone spiked the punch bowl. That was the first time I ever saw you drunk." He says, laughing a little. I don't remember it but I'm just gonna go with it. "What else?" "Well we were at a bonfire. This is the day you agreed to go out with me."

Jason's pov

~flashback~

Luke swats my shoulder. "You're daydreaming about that crush of yours aren't you?" He says. I sigh and nod, seeing her laughing at something. She looks my way and I quickly avert my stare. I don't want a repeat of the dance. But she still walks over. "Oh crap don't hit me again!" I gripe. She laughs. "Why do you think I'm gonna hit you?" "You did at the dance." She looks around. "Let's ditch this party." She says, grabbing my hand. I glance at Luke, surprised. "Go!" He mouths, pushing me along. "Ok." I say, nervously. We get to her car and drive to a secluded place. "What are we doing here?" She smiles. "You've been staring at me since I moved here." The smile fades. "I wanna know why?" She gripes, her tone angry. "Cause I like you. You're hot. You got every guy spinnin' around and spillin' their beer." "You think I'm hot?" I nod. "Hottest thing in here." "I'm just gonna warn you. I'm saving myself for marriage." That's a major blow but I'll get passed it. "I don't care." She takes her seatbelt off and kisses me, my arms around her waist instantly. Ha and Luke said she'd never be mine.

~flashback over~

Miranda's pov

"I guess I was pretty good at hard to get." I say, smiling at him. "Yeah." He says, shrugging. Just then I hear my dad's voice and footsteps. Jason's eyes go wide and he runs to the window. "No don't go." I hiss, pulling him back. "I can't! Your parents-" "My parents can suck it." I say, grabbing his hand and standing in front of the door defiantly. "They won't stop us." I whisper. He looks worried. "Your parents freak me out. They can easily convince my parents to send me to some boarding school just to keep you away from me." He says, nervously. Right before my dad opens the door, I shove him into the closet. "What's going on in here?" He asks, suspiciously. "Nothing." I grumble, glaring at him.

Jason's pov

I'm surprised. I thought she wanted him to know. I guess she doesn't wanna take the chance of me being shipped away. "Sweetheart, I'm sorry we have to do this. He's just a trickster and a liar." Her dad says, infuriating me. "I'm no liar!" I whisper, my fists clenched in anger. "Then we never really went to prom?" She whimpers, crying. What?! She believes him?! Then suddenly I get a text saying, "I'm just making him think I believe him." I breathe a relieved sigh. "Who were you texting?" Her dad asks. "Sierra. She was asking about tomorrow's test in English." She lies. He leaves and I come back out. "You're a good liar. I actually thought you seriously believed him." She laughs and shakes her head. "I love you." She says, hugging me. "I love you too." I hug her tightly. "I love you so much. But I have to go before I get caught." She glances at the door. "Take me with you please! I don't want to stay here and be lied to." She whimpers, grabbing my shirt. I know my parents will kill me if I say yes. But I don't care. Just then the door swings open! Shit. "I knew it." He growls. "Either he gets out and you never see him again, or you get out and we never see you again!" He yells, shocking me. She's crying. I can't let that happen to her. "I'm sorry baby. I'm gonna go." I say, letting go of her hand. "No! No, don't go!" She cries. "I choose you!" I stare at her shocked. She doesn't remember much of us but she still would rather be with me than her own parents. "You do?" "Of course Jason!" She runs over and hugs me. "I love you." She whispers. She's coming home with me. "See ya sucker." I say to her dad. She grabs her phone and we jump out the window and drive to my house. "My parents are gonna lay into me for this but I don't care. I finally get my girl back." She smiles and squeezes my hand. "I'll always be your girl."
