Jason's pov
I threw a bonfire party in celebration of finding out about the pregnancy. She sure caught me off guard and did good to hide it during the day. She and Rachel were talking. Rachel hanging off of Sean's shoulder. I'm so glad he finally got the guts to ask her out. They're such a cute couple. I wrap my arms around Miranda's waist and she jumps slightly making me laugh. "Gotcha baby." She smiles and covers my hands with hers which are against her stomach. "You know what this reminds me of?" She whispers, resting her head against my chest. "What?" "The carnival." Man that was a long time ago.
~flashback~
I watched her from my hiding place behind a wall. She turned around, a hand to her mouth trying not to laugh. "Where are you cowboy?" She says. I stifle a laugh when she turns around. Her back to me. I sneak over and wrap my arms around her waist. She squeals. "Gotcha." She turns around and kisses me. "I'll always love you." I whisper. "I'll never forget what we have Jason Aldine Williams."
~flashback over~
But she did forget. When we had that wreck and she forgot me.
*later that night*
She's asleep against my shoulder. I keep thinking about how she lost her memory and we still were in love. I love it. She still loved me even if she had no memory of me. "I'll never forget what we have." I whisper, kissing her forehead. She smiles in her sleep and I go to sleep.
*in his dream*
I was called to the hospital. I confusedly walk through the door and as soon as I did my leg was in a cast. "Huh? What's going on?" I gasp, falling against the wall. Her dad comes out. "Huh?! But you're dead!?" I cry, shakily backing up. "This is your fault!" He yells. "Oh my gosh! She's waking up!" Huh? Who? He lets go of me and takes off running. I follow close behind. It's just me and her parents. She stares around confused and bruised. What's going on? Oh no! No! Not this! Her eyes settle on me. I back up shakily. I can't relive this! Not again! "Who are you?" I hit the wall, my hands shaking, my legs feel like Jello! "I-It's me, Jason! You're hus- boyfriend, come on babe don't forget me again!? I can't go through that again!" Her dad shoves me out of the room just like the first time all this happened almost six years ago. "Stay away from my daughter." "Never!" I growl, running back in. Although when all this really happened, I left the hospital empty hearted and tearful. I'm not leaving this time. I run in her room and kiss her hard. "Please remember me baby!"
*he wakes up*
Sweat soaks me. Wait?! Where's Miranda?! "Babe?!" I scream, terrified that the dream was real. "Jason, you okay?" "W-Where-" "Bathroom. Baby on my bladder, honey what's wrong?" She sits back beside me. "S-Sorry. Nightmare." I mumble, hugging her. "About what, baby?" Tears slip from my eyes. I kiss her gently. We both lay back down, staring at each other. "Jay, you okay?" "It was of our wreck, where you forgot me." "I won't forget you again. Don't worry." "B-But at the carnival you said you'd never forget what we have then three months later you did, what if-" "It won't. Calm down. It's okay." She kisses me again. I need to stop freaking out. "Y-Yeah you're right. That dream.... Just had me on edge. I love you Miranda, my wife, older than me by two months but gave a lowly freshman a chance." She laughs softly.
Miranda's pov
I remember that day well. I was slightly drunk too. But man am I glad it happened. "Did you really see my panties at the dance?" I whisper ask. His face turns bright red. He nods. "You were wearing purple panties. I remember it well. I'm so glad you do too baby girl." He kisses my forehead and I scoot into his chest. "Goodnight, Jason." I whisper, already falling asleep. "Goodnight hun."
Jason's pov
There's no way I'm going back to sleep. I rub her back and stare at the ceiling. The dream still vivid. Since technically it wasn't a dream it was a memory since it really happened. Either way it always leaves me shaking. I take a deep breath. Ignore it! She won't forget me again. I kiss her head and fall asleep.
