Miranda's pov
"Easy now, hun. Don't strain yourself." He says, holding my arm while I try to walk to his truck. "I've got it." I grumble, frustrated. I clasp his hand tightly when I almost lose my footing. "You're weak hun, you have to take it slow." I smirk. "I don't wanna move too fast." I tease. He rolls his eyes and opens the truck door. I get in with his help. Ugh I hate having to rely on someone just to get around! It's frustrating.
Jason's pov
She glares out the windshield the whole way home. She's annoyed about this. I hold her hand which is resting on the middle console. "You're still that strong ass kicking girl I know and love." She sighs. "No I'm not! I'm weak! I can't even walk ten steps for God sakes!" "Baby you just got shot! You'll recover. You'll get better and be back to your old self in no time." She stares at the window, a tear slips down her cheek. I wish I could make this easier for her. We get back home. "Hey by the way the fans were worried about you. We should probably tell them you're okay." "I'm not okay." I sigh and help her out. She's trying not to cry. "You're not any weaker if you cry. Please baby stop acting like this." "Shut up, Jason! I don't wanna cry!" I'm a little pissed off. None of this would've happened if she didn't jump in the way of that damn bullet. Why did she do that?! Brantley would've been fine! Compared to her. "Why did you do it?" "Do what?" She sits on the couch. I stay standing. "Do what, Jason?" I sigh. "Why the hell did you jump in the way of that damn bullet?! It was gonna hit Brantley and he's one tough ass motherfucker. He woulda been fine but no you jumped in the way, you lost the baby because of it and you almost died!" She stares at me jaw dropped but everything I'm saying is the truth! "I can't believe you!" "It's the truth!" I shout angrily. She stands up, leaning on the arm of the couch. "Sometimes, you should keep the truth to yourself." She stomps to the door?! "What the hell are you doing?!" "I'm calling my mother. She won't criticize me like you." Wait! What? Critize her?! "Wait, babe, don't leave. I'm just mad. You're right I shoulda kept it to myself! I'm sorry don't leave."
Miranda's pov
He's never talked to me like that. "I'm sorry hun, I've just been worried sick. Please don't leave." He begs, walking over. I sigh. "Ok I won't leave." He smiles. "I'm sorry." "I know." My chest hurts where I got shot so I sit back down on the couch. "I love you baby." I smile. He kisses my forehead. "I love you too, Jay."
*a few days later*
I wake up out of a deep sleep from a nightmare. My hand to my racing heart. "Baby, what's wrong?" Jason gasps, running in. "W-What?" I choke out shakily. "You screamed. What happened? Are you okay?" I shakily nod, swallowing the lump in my throat from fear. "Y-Yeah j-just a n-nightmare." I stammer.
Jason's pov
Hm, she's pretty shaken. It must've been bad. I lay beside her in the bed and hug her tight. She grips my shirt tight. "Shh it was just a dream. It wasn't real." I whisper. She cries against my chest. "It was
h-horrible. I was so scared." "It wasn't about what's his face was it?" She nods and sits up. "It wasn't me that got shot. You did in the head and you died! I thought it was real! I thought I lost you again!" "Baby that will never happen! I'm not dead and I'm not goin' nowhere! It wasn't real!" I gasp, holding her tight as she sobs loudly. Poor girl. "The look on your face..... Jason, you should've seen it! It was horrible." "Baby don't think about it. It wasn't real. Look at me now. I'm okay." "I know. I love you." I smile and kiss her forehead. "I love you too baby girl. I'm one lucky son of a bitch." She laughs slightly. At least it helped her stop crying. "I'm the lucky one. You never gave up on me even when I didn't know you. I remember that stuff too." My eyes go wide. "You do?" She nods. "I never wanna forget anything about us." She whispers, locking eyes with me and holding my hand. "You and me both baby girl." I gasp, kissing her lips. I close my eyes.*later*
Her head lays on my chest, her soft calm breathing reassuring me. "When we do have a baby, and if it's a girl, I wanna name her Heather." I smile. "It's perfect baby." I say, rubbing her back.
*in his dream*
My wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. "Welcome to the world, Heather." I say, proudly holding her in my arms. Suddenly this little would just got a whole lot bigger and dangerous. I wanna protect my little princess from every bad thing out there. Miranda smiles at us. "You did great baby. She's perfect." I can feel the tears hinting at my eyes. "You're gonna be a daddy's girl, ain't that right, princess?" I teasingly ask. Miranda laughs.
*he wakes up*
I thought that was real. Now I miss holding that little girl in my hands! Even if she wasn't real! I glance down at my loving girl. "Yet." I whisper, smiling.
