Jason's pov
I was watching the dawgs game when Miranda calls my name from upstairs. "What's up, babe?" I call back, turning around on the couch. "I'm going with the girls tonight." She says, walking downstairs." "Ok stay safe baby girl." She smiles and puts her earrings in. "I will. We'll probably just hit the bar downtown, ya know the one that plays the really good country music." I'm tempted to go with her, make sure she'll be okay but it sounds like a girl's night thing. I stand up after pausing the TV. "Just.... Pay attention to your surroundings, don't let no one spike your drink." "I'll be careful. I promise." "Ok." I kiss her goodbye and Sierra's blue mustang pulls up.
Miranda's pov
Poor Jason's worried sick about me. I wave and close the door. "Hey girl, ready?" I nod. "Let's party tonight!" Rachel gasps, excited. I smile and we hit the bar. The bottom floors are packed so we go to the third floor. The singer there is singing soft country songs.
Jason's pov
The game went off now I'm bored. Just sitting around with nothing to do. Ok I'm going to the bar where they are. I get down there and it's packed. Damn how am I gonna find her? I squeeze through the folks and get to the other floors.

Oh man, they're playing a slow song. I stay seated, stirring my drink while the girls dance. Rachel with Sean and Sierra with someone I'm not sure who. A guy from the band walks over. "Hey you look lonely. Wanna dance?" I smile. "Thanks for the offer but I'm married and have been drinking." "Ok have fun then." He leaves and I sigh and drink my drink a little more. "I wish Jason was here." I mumble, bummed. "Wish granted." My eyes go wide, hearing my cowboy. "Jason? What are you doing here?" "I got bored at home." He says, grabbing my hand and pulling me onto the floor. I smile glad that he's here. I rest my head on his chest. My hands are in his back pockets. He kisses me gently. "Get me outta here." I whisper, my lips barely an inch away from his. He smiles. "My pleasure." I tell the girls and we get to hi truck. "I'm glad you came it was pretty lame without you." We go back home, his hands around my waist as I lean against his truck and we are making out. "The thought of you is driving me insane." He whispers. I smirk and look away at the car door. "Let's get down and dirty in the back of my truck." I nod in agreement.
*the next day*
Jason's pov
*in his dream*
Heather runs passed chasing the dog. "Quit runnin' little girl." I call. She hides behind my writing desk. I laugh and walk into the room after my five year old. "Heather, where are you?" I tease, acting like I don't know. She giggles and I sneak up from behind and pick her up. She squeals in surprise and can't stop laughing. "Quit being so loud! I just got Brett to sleep." My wife calls. Brett is our son. She walks out looking tired. I set Heather down and walk to her. She put her hair in a bun. "Let's go to bed baby." She smiles at me. I catch Heather. "Bedtime princess." She protests but I tickle her and take her to her room. "We'll play more tomorrow. Mama and daddy are tired." "Ok daddy."
*he wakes up*
Ugh. I hate and love having dreams like that for certain reasons. It makes me miss them when I wake up. But I love imagining my life that way in the future. I look at my sleeping wife. I think maybe we should get a dog too. I haven't had one since we moved to Nashville. I close my eyes again, my hands across my chest. I fall back asleep.
