Jason's pov

Luke sits beside me in the waiting room. "Did you tell her when she woke up?" He asks. I shake my head and clasp my hands together in front of me. "I couldn't. I didn't have the heart to tell her that the baby died." I can't help it. The thought of being a dad has been ripped away from me makes tears come to my eyes. He pats my shoulder. "You've gotta tell her." I sigh and nod. I have to. I wipe my eyes and walk to her room. Doc was just pulling her out of the coma. She shakily sits up and I sit beside her. We share a tight hug and I try not to cry again. "Baby girl, I've gotta tell you something.... And I'm not sure..... How to tell you." Brantley and Luke walk in. "We'll tell her for ya man." I clench my fists. "No. This is something I gotta do!" "Jason, what's going on?" She asks. "I'm so sorry sweetheart, you lost the baby." I gasp, closing my eyes. Even with my eyes closed, I can still hear her screaming. I hold her tight but she fights to get away. "Calm down, hun, you're gonna hurt yourself more!" But she's too out of it to even hear me. The doctor sticks her with a sedative and she cries out, grabbing her arm. "Jason?" She whimpers. I lay her back down, she's barely coherent. "I'm right here, baby." She grabs my arms, a panicked look in her eyes. "Don't leave me." She whimpers. "I wouldn't dream of it baby girl." I kiss her forehead as she drifts off to sleep again. "I'm so sorry baby." I break down in sobs and Luke and Brantley get me out to the waiting room. Sobs rack my body. "This isn't your fault!" Brantley says. "I don't care. I couldn't protect her and because I was too busy hosting she got kidnapped and now the baby's dead!" "But that's not your fault, Jason. Calm down, why don't you take a break, go home, and rest." I shake my head. "I said I wouldn't leave her, I've never left her, and I'm not gonna start now." I walk back to her room and hold her hand while she sleeps.

Luke's pov

"Jason'll kill you when he wakes back up." Brantley says. "I don't care. He needs to rest." I mutter, walking to the doctor. He gets the sedative ready. "Are you sure about this?" He asks. I nod and he walks into the room. "Hey doc." I hear him say. "Your friends are worried about you." The doctor says. "I'm fine. I just don't wanna leave her."

Jason's pov

The doctor sticks me with a needle! "W-What did you just do!?" I shout, standing up. "Just relax sir. We're doing this for your own good." I feel dizzy. I put a hand on the bed to steady myself. "W-What did you do to me?" I mumble. I slump against the wall, barely conscious when Luke and Brantley walk in. "Thanks doc." Luke says. Thanks? Thanks for what? They both grab my arms but I try to break free. "Jason, calm down!" Luke gasps. "Not until.... You tell me... What the hell is going on?!" I shout. "Ugh B just do it." He says. Do what? "Sorry about this, man." Brantley says then punches me in the face. I hit the floor hard and everything fades to black.

Luke's pov

He's finally asleep. "Sorry man. You were giving us no other choice." I mumble sighing. Me and Brantley each grab an arm. "Damn man, you're heavier than you look!" I gasp, surprised. But we get him to my truck and back to his place, letting him get some much needed sleep on the couch.
