Rachel's pov
Jason smilingly walks into work, not even in his uniform. "Hey Reg, I need to talk to you!" He calls. "My God! Jason are you drunk!?" I cry, shocked. He shakes his head. "I quit." He says, flipping him off. "Screw you man!" He shouts, gladly. "Jason, you're insane!" He laughs. "No, I finally see the light." He says, hugging me.
Jason's pov
That was fun and I'm glad Rachel was there. The shocked look on her face made me laugh. I grab my phone and call my girl. I hop in my truck. "I'm three miles from home. Baby put on that red sundress I like so much and wait out by the road I'm comin' to pick you up." "I can't wait!" She says, excited. I hang up and drive fast to her house.
Miranda's pov
I pack a suitcase, putting on that dress Jason loves. "Where are you going?" Mom asks. I smile. "With Jason, and we ain't ever comin' back." I reply, modeling in the mirror. "You aren't going anywhere young lady." She gripes, furiously. I laugh. "And you aren't gonna stop me." I mutter, picking up my suitcase and walking passed her. I hear Jason's Pontiac pull up. I throw my suitcase in the back and jump in the passenger side. He is listening to Johnny Cash's ring of fire. We speed away with a full tank to Nashville. I'm so excited.
*4 hours later*
We brake for the night and sit on the tailgate, playing his guitar. I sit beside him. "Well she walked into the joint, lookin' like a million dollars. From the brim of her stetson hat to the heels of her tony llamas. She said hey Mr. Tall, dark, and handsome cowboy man, would ya like to dance with me?" He's got the best voice ever. I know he'll be a star in Nashville. He lowers the guitar. "Why'd ya stop?" I ask. He grips my chin and kisses me hard. He takes the guitar off and sets it down, pulling me onto his lap where we make out.
Jason's pov
She gets on her knees, running her fingers through my hair while we make out. Nothing could keep us apart. Not memory loss, not our parents. Nothing. Her hands move to my chest and unbuttons the top button. I undo her bra strap as she continues to unbutton the buttons on my shirt. My fingers feel down her sides, making her shiver. I try to hold in my laugh but it doesn't work out. We lock eyes then she takes her shirt off. I slip outta mine and wrap my arms around her waist, flipping her onto the truck bed. Her long brown hair cascading every which way. I kiss her again, her hands resting on my belt. Sweat already accumulating on the back of my neck. I kiss down her neck. "Baby we ain't ever goin' back." I whisper. She sucks in a breath quickly, her eyes wide. "You okay?" She nods. I smile. She grabs my shoulders. "Harder." She whispers. My eyes go wide in surprise. I shrug. "Whatever you say baby."
*later*
I freeze when I hear her phone ring. Her eyes are closed. "Just let it ring." She whispers. "What if it's Sierra or Rachel?" She opens her eyes. "I do need to tell Sierra we skipped town." She mumbles, thinking. "I'll tell her later." She says, shrugging and closing her eyes again. I smirk and hold her hands down. I run my finger down her arm and she shivers. "Stop teasin' me!" She says. I laugh. I stop teasing her and get down to it.
*after*
Miranda's pov
He lays down beside me. "The new you is a lot different." He mumbles, in total ecstasy. I laugh and scoot closer, curling into his side. "The old me didn't know what she was missing." I whisper. He chuckles and kisses my head. "That she didn't baby that she didn't." He says, closing his eyes. I sit up and kiss him hard. "I think I wanna be on top this time." I whisper. He smiles in the kiss. My hands against his chest.
*the next morning*
We get back on the road to Nashville. He's singing along to sweet child o mine. I smile watching him. I'm so glad he saved me from my lying parents. I lay my head against his arm and he wraps it around me. "You and me, we're going to go far." He whispers.
