- Megan's Point of View -
I woke up and rubbed my eyes. New landscape. There weren't a lot of people. I saw a few trees here and there, and then a run down gas station.
"We're almost there Megan." Mom said, noticing that I was awake.
I nodded so she knew I understood. I readjusted myself and drifted back off to sleep.
"Megan...Megan wake up!" My dad was shaking me.
"Are we there?" I asked, opening my eyes and seeing that yes, we were here.
"Yeah. The van will be here soon."
I got up and got all my stuff gathered up. I'm still tired, but I'm excited to explore my new house. Yay...a new house. We're just gonna move in a year! No point in getting hyped up about it. I asked for the keys to the house. (My house is shown up above somewhere.)
I walked in the house. Immediately I smelled it. It smelled like polished or new wood, if that's even a smell, or if you can imagine that. I ran up the stairs. I tripped at the top. I'm clumsy, yes. I know. I turned right and saw an empty room. Call me selfish, but I checked to see which room was the biggest. Oh my god! There's a bathroom in this one? Yeah, this one is mine. I looked out the window and saw that the van was here. I flew down the stairs (almost tripping and falling on my face) with a huge smile on my face.
"Why are you so happy? You hate moving?" My mom asked me, not knowing that she'd be jealous of my room.
"Can I call my room?" I tried to be the perfect, innocent little girl I am. Not.
"If you insist...." My mom smiled.
"I love you so much!" I hugged her.
"Yeah yeah come help us unload." She grabbed a box
After all of the boxes were in the house, my mom and dad went to go get some pizza. Meanwhile, they left me alone to unpack some of my stuff. I was coming down the stairs to take another box up to my (freaking amazing) room, when the doorbell rang. I walked over to the door. I mean, it's not gonna be a rapist or anything like that. I opened it.
He was gorgeous. I think I stopped breathing for a second.
"Um..hi...I'm Sam. Sam Pottorff." He stuttered. Oh god! This is going to be awkward! "Um...I live two houses down. It's the whitish-tan one." He pointed to it.
"Hi...I'm Megan." I said, looking down the street to where he was pointing.
"I take it you're new here?" He said, leaning in and glancing at all the boxes.
Well well well we have a very confident boy here. A very confident ATTRACTIVE boy.
"You aren't a rapist or a killer, are you?" I asked him. He was wearing tight jeans with holes in them, a Rolling Stones tank top, and orange Converse. I liked his style.
"No." He said with a smile. Stop killing me! You're just too cute! "Are you?"
Ha ha ha ha. Ha. "You have a great sense of humor, Sam. Would you like to come in? My parents are out getting pizza. They'll be back in a few minutes." I said, secretly hoping he'd say yes.
"Oh yeah, sure."
Mom and dad came home with two boxes of pizza and some Arizona Tea, my favorite drink.
"Guess what I have!"
"What?" I yelled back at mom. I think there was an echo in here.
"Arizona Tea!" She yelled back. I bet she was smiling.
Sam got up and ran to my mom like a dog after a stick.
"Um...who is this?" Mom came into where Sam left me.
"That's Sam Pottorff. He's one of our neighbors." I think I was blushing a little.
Mom gave me a look that meant I-know-you-like-this-boy and shook her head.
"What?!" I said in self defense.
"Oh nothing!"
Dad and Sam came in the room, Sam with a smile and an open can of Tea.
"I think I'll get along with you guys quite nicely." Sam laughed. His laugh. Everything about him is adorable!
"Sooo..what kinda pizza did ya get?" I asked, opening one of the boxes.
"Cheese, your favorite. Dig in!" Everyone got a piece and a can of Tea.
"So...Sam...who are your parents?" My dad asked.
Sam told him and took another slice of pizza.
My mom nodded. "So what do you do around here?" Mommmmmm why do you wanna know? Ya stalker.
"Well usually I hang out with my friend Kian...we make videos and put them on YouTube. That's our job." He smiled. GOD stop killing me! "And sometimes Jarred helps us with our videos or something. HEY Megan you should make videos with us! You can have your own channel and everything!"
"Yeah! I should!" I mean it's not like I'd be doing it just to hang out with Sam Pffttt noooo. I looked at my mom, like 'Can I?' without talking.
Mom smiled and shook her head yes. "Just nothing illegal."
"Mom, we're not that stupid." I just shook my head. Ha. We wouldn't do that, I'm really not that stupid.
"Okay! Maybe tomorrow you can meet Kian was it?"
Sam nodded his head and took a sip of Tea.
"Kian and Jarred if they're around."
"Yeah, they both live here. Do you have a camera, or no?"
"Um I do have one but it works like crap."
"Well until we get enough money for you to get a new one, you can use mine. I'll teach ya all about it tomorrow." Sam's phone buzzed. "Oh, my mom just texted me that I have to go home. I'll stop over around eleven in the morning, that okay?" He got up and walked over to the door.
"Yeah, I'll be up around nine ish, so whenever you wake up is fine."
"Okay! See ya then!"
"Bye!" I waved.
He waved and walked out.
After we were done eating, I cleaned up and got another box to take it up to my room.
