Another Move

Chapter Two

I went upstairs. 9:30 at night. I'm not tired at all! I know who'll be up. I searched for my laptop - there it is! I pulled up Skype and called Hazel. She won't mind if it's extremely early in the morning. I mean, she'll probably be excited about waking up early.

"Megan!"  Hazel flashed one of her big smiles across the screen.

"Hazel! Did I wake you up?"

"Yeah But I don't care. Actually, thanks! Now I can edit another video for my channel. Yes."

There was an awkward silence for a few seconds.

"So...have ya met any new friends in your fruit county yet?"

"Orange County, and I have met this one guy..." I bit my lip.

"Well come on! Don't make me bribe you! Tell me allll about him. Would Alexys and I ship it?" 

"I'd ship it. Sam Pottorff? Skinny, black hair, like a quiff, brown eyes, and just really really hot."

"Oh yeah! Sam Pottorff! I know him! Doesn't he have a friend named Kevin or something? And then there's that weird hot Aulstralian guy?"

"Kian, and yeah, that's Jarrad LaBarrie. They actually suggested that I make videos, you know like become a YouTuber. Should I do it?" I asked. I was kinda nervous. I'm a little insecure.

"Ah, hell yeah! Go for it! I think you'd be great at it! Plus, you're really pretty, so people won't think 'Oh yeah I won't waste my time on that twip.' You should do it. And then you can come to VidCon! Our group of friends can meet your group of friends there! And it'll be a great time!" Hazel was excited now.

"Maybe we could even sneak some alchohol!" I heard another voice say.

"Alexys, your Irish is showing." Hazel looked off screen.

"At least I'm not a disgrace to the Irish name. Not touching meat and whatnot."

"Shut up. It's nasty. Say hi to Megan."

"Wey hey dere Megan!" Alexys yelled.

Hazel gave Alexys a look.

"What? It's not like she knows what it means or anything." Alexys defended herself.

Hazel ignored Alexys and put her attention back to me.

"What does it mean? I wanna know!" I protested.

Instead of a response, I got Hazel smiling and licking the side of her teeth.

"You're doing it again!" Alexys yelled.

"I don't even know what you're talking about. I'm not even here right now." Hazel said with a serious face.

"I don't even go here. I'm not even in this class." Alexys said.

"Anyways. Sooooo..."

"Have you met any guys lately?"

"Yeahhhh I'm pretty sure no one will ever like me. A retarded seal is more attractive than me." Hazel laughed.

"Shut up that's not true Hazel!" She always says she's forever alone. She lies.

"I'll believe you when something happens." She still doesn't believe me.

"Okay whatever!"

Hazel pulled out her iPhone. "Smile for the camera!" She said.

"Ehh why?" I whined.

"Do you want future subscribers or not?"

"Fine." I smiled. Finding a reason to smile wasn't that hard when I picture Sam in my mind.

"Whale whale whale guess who's finally gonna start making videos!! This girl right here!" Hazel read as she typed. "And shabam! You best be starting those real soon!"

"I'll try. I'm meeting up with Sam and Kian and Jarrad tomorrow. Ooooo I should probably go to sleep. I'll talk to ya tomorrow, kay?"

"Kay. Bye!"

"BAI MEGAN! DON'T CAUSE ANY TROUBLE FOR DRAKE AND JOSH!" Alexys yelled. She's convinced that I have two brothers (named Drake and Josh) somewhere, just because my name is Megan. I don't even have any siblings.
