Ross POV

The next day, I looked in my yearbooks to see if Katie go's to my school. I didn't see her anywhere. Oh well. It's alright. It's just a crush. Nothing is probably going to happen. But I still wanna try, so I've planned to go back to the park on Saturday, which is tomorrow. I really hope she is gonna be there. But for right now I just have to wait. So the plan for today is just to watch movies, and take a very long nap.

The next morning I woke up, took a shower, ate, and watch another movie. I was going to the park a 1:00. I couldn't wait.

It finally was 12:50, so I was getting ready to go.

"Hey Rydel. Where are the others?" I asked

"Riker, mom, and dad are sleeping, Rocky is at the store, Ryland is still at his friends, and Ellington is playing video games. Where are you going?" She asked.

"To the park." I said, trying not to give away why I was going.

"Uh huh. Is it to see that girl Katie?" She asked suspiciously.

"Uh no. Ok yes." I said embarrassed.

"Oh yay!" She said excited.

"Yep! Ok gotta go, bye!" I said smiling.

I went to my car, and started driving to the park. I crossed my fingers. Hopefully Katie will be there.
When I got there, I went to one of the picnic tables, and started looking for her. I didn't see her. I started walking around. I was walking for about 5 minutes, until I saw her. Yes! She was leaning on a tree, writing in her notebook. I walked by pretending to just now notice her.

"Oh hey! It's Katie right?" I asked.

She looked up and said, "Yep that's me. Hey again."

"Hey. Do you come here often?" I asked

"I come every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. How about you?" She asked.

"Oh, this is only my second time here. What are you writing?" I asked

"Oh, this is homework. I have to summarize this story. And..." She said writing down, " done."

"Oh wow. You wanna... hang out?" I asked shyly.

"Oh sure!" She said getting up.

We hung out for a while, and talked about ourselves.

"Oh hey, it's two forty. I have to go." She said sadly.

"Oh ok. I had lots of fun." I said

"Me to. Thanks for hanging out with me. Bye." She said

"Your welcome, and thank you for hanging out with me. Bye" I said.

She started to walk away, but then I realized what I should do.

"Hey Katie!" I yelled behind her.

"Yeah?"

"Do you wanna hang out sometime?" I asked blushing.

"Oh! Definitely! Is Tuesday at five ok?" She asked very happily  

"Yeah, sure! Where?" I said.

"Uh, how about the lake down the road?" I asked.

"Sure!" She said.

"Perfect, I pick you up at four fifty." I said.

"Ok, see you then! Bye Ross!" She said.

"Bye Katie!" I said.

She turned around slowly and walked away. I was so happy!
