Forever

Katie POV

I walked in the room slowly looking at Ross's broken body. I tried my best to keep from crying. When he saw me a very small smile appeared on his face.

"Ka... Ka... Katie." Ross tried to say through his breathing machine.

"Ross. It's ok. I'm right here. You don't have to talk." I said tearing up.

"Ka... Katie... I'm sorry. I'm... So... Sorry. I... Love... You... Katie. Re...remember that. Ok?" He managed to get out.

"Ross it's ok. I forgive you. You are amazing and I love you ok? And I will always remember that you love me. I promise." I said crying.

"Katie... Will... You please... Give me... One more... Kiss." He said.

"But Ross... You will have to take the breathing mask off." I said.

"Its ok... Please... Take it off for just... A second." He said.

I couldn't say no. I carefully pulled it off and gave him... One last... Kiss. As I put the mask back on he smiled.

"Thank you... Katie... I love you." He struggled to say.

"I love you to Ross. Forever." I said.

"B... Bye." He said... His last word.

"Bye Ross. I will miss you." I managed to get out.

I stood there watching him. He closed his eyes and I held his hand.

"Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep." The machine went off.

That's it. Ross... Is dead. I was crying so hard I couldn't see. A doctor walked in and put his hand on my shoulder.

"Come on, sweetie. Let's go." The doctor said.

I slowly let got of Ross's cold hand. When we got to the door, I looked at him one last time. And then I turned back around. The doctor opened the door and I slowly walked out...

The doctor went back in the room and I stood by the door way and cried.

And cried.

And cried.

And cried.

And cried.

And cried...

Until I started hearing noises from inside the room. I stood there and stared at the door for 5 minutes. Until one of the doctors came out.

"He... He is alive." He said smiling.

I soon as I heard that, I ran past the doctor, through the door, and straight to Ross.

"Ross your alive!" I said running to him.

"Yeah....Yeah... I am. Somehow my... heart started....  beating again." He whispered smiling.

"Oh Ross! I love you." I said kissing his forehead.

"I love... you to. I love you no... Matter what. I... Will always be here for you. I will... Never... Leave you again. Never." He said.

I leaned down and gently hugged him.

"I will always be here for you to. I love you, babe." I said.

He slightly hugged me back and said, "No matter what. I love you. Forever."
