It has been a month since I had left with Klaus and my brother. It has also been the worth month of my life. Klaus wanted to find a wolf to turn and I had to keep the secret that it wouldn't actually turn the wolf into a hybrid. Elena was alive therefore Klaus could not ever be able to make a successful hybrid. I hoped that someday I would see Damon again for I did not know how long Klaus would want to keep me as his servant.
Klaus, my brother, and I were packing up for the next day of driving to find a pack. I became more quiet over the course of the month. Klaus would ask some questions and I would give short and clear answers. He would give me orders that were simple and I would obey him. I knew he wanted our old friendship back but I hated him. He could not make me his friend.
We were on the road to Tennesee where Klaus was searching for a wolf he knew of. The wolf was the key to a pack in the Appalachian mountains and Klaus would see to it that he found the wolf. It scared me to see Klaus so ruthless. It scared me to see what I was capable of.
"Love, can you help me pack up my suitcase."
I glared at him as he walked out of my room. I closed up my suitcase. As I walked out the door I thought to myself and said, "this is the price you pay for your loved ones."
I bid you all farewell. I shut the door and left all my memories and feelings in the room letting all the cold in. I put on my game face ready for all the horrible things that I would soon do. Goodbye love, hello new life.
