Today I woke up a grump and kind of depressed knowing my father was still not found. The vampire still has him and I have no clue as to where he would be.
Damon came out with no top on and trying to seduce me which I snorted at. Fat chance.
"Put a top on, Fabio," I laugh.
"Now would you really want that?" He asks.
"Yes."
He pulls his top over his head.
"My dad would always go to this one bar when he would come to hunt. It may mean something."
"Doubtful," he replied rather rudely. I turned around in my chair to glare at him and if looks could kill, he would have stake right through his selfish heart. Not to be harsh or anything.
"I'm going," I say getting my bag and coat.
Damon stops me as I'm about to walk out the door.
"What?" I ask irritated.
"Not alone, I'm coming." I don't put up a fight knowing that I may need back up. My inner coat pocket has a gun full with wooden bullets and Damon has his... well... he has really nothing to offer except his sarcastic comments.
"I'll drive," Damon offers but more like forces but I don't put up any fight. I tell him where to go and he does like he's told and in no time we are finally there. The bar is more broken down than I remember and It looks more vacant than usual. As we open the door is creaks and we seen a man that seems awfully familiar.
"Hey, can I help you?" He asks.
"Um yeah. I'm looking for a man that is usually a regular here, can you please tell me if you have seen him?" I ask kindly.
The guy takes his picture and looks at it thoroughly.
"This Chase Gordon. You wouldn't happen to be a girl named Brooklyn would you?" He asks. That's when it hit me. Michael Lee was the man's name and we used to be best friends.
"Oh my god! Michael."
"Nice to see you Brooke. It's been too long."
Michael was a vampire hunter with me and my dad. We took him in when his mother and father were killed. Now he owns a bar apparently.
Damon looks at me confused and suspicious. I nod at him nothing and that I'd tell him later.
"He came in a couple nights ago for a drink. Haven't seen him since."
"Did he leave with anybody or was anyone following him."
"Brooke, whats going on?" He asked. I took a deep breath and explained the whole thing. He seemed not surprised which was weird but I guess it's because he's used to it.
He seemed hesitant on answering but went on.
"There were a few guys last week that came by asking for him and I thought it was the rest of his hunting crew but just to be sure, I slipped vervain into their drink and they spit it out. Brooke they came looking for both of you."
I took in every word and syllable but still couldn't seem to grasp the situation.
"Would have any idea where they are?" I ask in hope.
He looks around before coming closer.
"They come here every night to order a drink. They should be here tonight. Act as a waitress. Give then a drink and BAM they are all yours."
I smile at his genius plan and look at Damon who seems skeptical and looks as though he's concerned. This is who I am and this is what I do. I am getting my dad back.

Night finally came and I got a name tag and a crash course in bartending. Let's just say I'm a natural. As soon as the bar opened, a group of too good looking men came in and I'm guessing they were the group. I looked over to Michael and he nodded his head answering my question. I came over asking if I could get them anything with my gun in my holster and my hand close ready to shoot.
"We will have a shot of vodka please." The guy smiled at me as did his friends. I stuck out my chest to make sure my name tag stuck hoping that they'd recognize me.
"Brooklyn." One states and I nod my head.
"That's my name."
"Yeah. We are good friends with Chase. We go out for a drink every night." They are trying to sound friendly when I know they are torturing my dad but I keep up my act.
"Wow. You know I haven't seen my dad lately so I wouldn't know." I snap with a grin on my face. I look over to Damon who is drinking what I'm guessing is bourbon and he nods at me for reassurance. As I'm about to give one of them a drink, a pull out my wooden stake and stab one just above the heart.
"Where is my dad?" I snarl. Damon comes over to hold snap ones neck and he falls limp.
Michael came out with the same gun as me carrying wooden bullets.
This time, my dad won't be tortured. It will be them.
There are only two left standing in which Damon snaps both their necks like it comes naturally now they are all dead... for now. Damon injects them all with vervain so they are too weak to even stand. I start tying their hands with vervain ropes and put gags in their mouth that were dipped in vervain. Yeah, it hurts. Once they are all prepared,
I close the bar so no one will come in to see this. Then I sit and wait for them to wake as Damon pours himself another drink.
"So what's the master plan?" Damon asks.
"Torture them so they give us answers."
He raises his eyebrows.
"What?" I ask.
"Nothing, you just don't seem like the violent type."
"When it comes to the people I love I will do anything."
He nods his head and I drop the whole conversation. Like clockwerk, the vampires wake up dazed and confused but then realize what happen and where they are.
"Good Morning little miss sunshines," Damon smirks. His sarcasm actually is pretty funny but not when my dad could be dead.
"Okay, now we can do this the easy way or the hard way, where is Chase Gordon?" I ask.
I take off their gags so they can answer my easy and simple question. Guess it's not as easy and simple because they don't answer the question.
"WellI, guess it's the hard way."
I splash their faces with vervain and it makes them scream in pain. Their faces look like dried out raisins but it needs to be done.
"I'll ask again, where is he?" I ask kindly. They all groan and one told me to go to hell so I guess I'll just have to be meaner. I take the vervain and a stake and dip the stake into the glass of vervain.
"This is going to hurt," I exclaim. I look over to Damon who is looking at a magazine and seems to look over at me in amazement.
I smile at him before going back to the job at hand.
I plunge the stake into one vampires heart making him go white and his veins popping out. It scared the crap out of the group and I could tell one was going to spill in seconds.
I walked over to him and we made eye contact.
"Now, sweetie, are you going to tell me or not?" I ask.
"He's at the old wine shop in the basement." I should have guessed. The wine shop is out in the woods separated from society.
"Thanks you've been a help." I staked him in the heart and started to feel remorse. There were 3 more men to go, I couldn't have them coming after me but I can't have that much blood on my hands. I felt remorse and I didn't know why. I was raised to do this and I could hear my dad's voice in my head telling me they were heartless monsters. But I knew he was wrong because apparently one of my friends are one (Caroline) and two of the people that were with me. I know that they aren't all bad and that is why I feel guilt. Because the people I love are pretty much vampires.
Damon takes the stake from me noticing my struggle and kills the rest. Damon and Michael take care of the bodies as I fill the car with hunting weapons. I sit in the drivers seat waiting for Damon and Michael. Suddenly, I hear a twig snap out in the woods from my open window. I load my gun and get out to investigate ready for anything that comes my way.
I look in the woods and see nothing so I'm think it was just an animal. As I'm about to walk to my car, I feel something hit my head. I fall to the ground and feel a warm liquid run down my face. I blink only a couple times to see a man walking to me and then I'm out.

I awake in a big room which I'm guessing is the basement of the old wine shop. I sit up and instantly I have a huge headache. I feel my head and still feel wet blood. It must be deep and I need medical help.
I look to my left and see my dad unconscious and I begin to panic.
"Dad! No! Dad!" I scream. I check his pulse and breathe when I get one.
I look around and try to find a way out or else I'm officially screwed.
I check my back pocket for my phone and relieved when it is there.
I call Damon hoping he can help me. It's picked up almost immediately.
"Brooklyn?!" He asks worriedly.
"Yeah it's me. Listen, I'm in the basement and I don't have much time. You need to get my father and I out now."
"I'll be right there." He hangs up the phone and I hear footsteps approaching the door and then I know that the man overheard out conversation. I check my holster and find my gun intact. Stupid idiot. I load it and wait for the man to open the door. Suddenly the door opens and I see a figure flash and it's too quick for me to shoot. Suddenly he is holding my dad up ready to bleed him dry.
"Let him go."
The man stands there and laughs hearing the desperation in my voice.
"I'll do anything."
His ears seem to have perked up and an evil grin forms on his twisted face.
"You in exchange for the life of your father."
As I am about to say yes Damon runs down the door but waits cautiously knowing that one move and my father will be dead.
"You don't want to do this, Brooke. There's a way out of this."
I shake my head knowing there's know other way. Suddenly the vampire changes his facial expression and bites down on my father. I shoot the vampire down but he keeps on chewing and biting. Finally I get his heart and he falls down dead.
I run to my dad but not as fast as Damon who bites down on his wrist.
"No," a voice said. My dad, he was awake. He didn't want help.
"Dad, if Damon doesn't do this, you will die."
"Then let me die," he whispers hoarsely. I shake my head no and my tears run down my cheek.
"Be brave, Brooklyn. I've raised you for times like this. I love you and so did your mother. I'm sorry I couldn't have been there for you."
I nod my head and kiss his hand knowing I love him as well.
He turns his head to Damon which surprised me.
"Take care of my daughter."
"Yes sir."
My dad hands out a picture of a man a little older than me.
"It's your brother. I love you and tell him that I'm sorry."
I nod my head and start crying even harder when he stops breathing. I lay my head on top of his chest as my sobs become louder.
"Come on," Damon says as he lifts me and puts his arm around my waist supporting me.
I shake my head and look down in shame knowing that I have failed. I have failed my father.
