Chapter Sixteen

He cradled Rain on his arms tenderly. He had been flying for a while now at hindi niya malaman saan ilalapag si Rain. She had attained two fatal wounds and her wings had been bleeding. He didn't know the way to her house. Finally he saw a cave and went in. He tried summoning a fire and it was easy. Nilapag niya ito sa isang tabi.

Water, water he needs water. Maya maya pa ay may tumutulo nang tubig mula sa isang bato.

Now what?? He had inspected her wings. It looked like a nasty cut. Oh no!! The reason for her shortfall was because binigyan siya nito ng kalahati sa kapangyarihan ni Rain. Tinapik niya ito.

"Rain. Wake up. I'm gonna return your powers now. "

She opened her eyes and looked up.

"I'm going to do the breathe-in thing again." He said but he didn't dared looked at her."To return your powers."

"Blue. You look worried."

"Ofcourse I am. May sugat ang pakpak mo. Hindi mo ba nararamdaman??"

She stretched her hand and she looked pained. "Oh no! I lost the bracelet!!" she cried.

What bracelet?? Yung gold??

"God you have a wound and all you can think about is your damn bracelet??!" he asked.

"Pero ikaw ang nagbigay nun. I mean importante yun."

"Tsk. Your life is more important. Anyway let's do the breathing thing again to get your powers back."

She nodded but she did not look at him. Maybe because nahihiya ito sa gagawin nila. I mean it's not like they were going to do the breathing diba. It's like they're going to kiss.

"Come on open your mouth." Blue commanded hurriedly.

Binuksan ni Rain ang bibig niya. Hinipan ni Blue ang loob. She started laughing and she laughed so hard tears started to come out of her eyes. "Lakas mo talaga Blue!!"

"Pucha!! I don't know how to do it." He groaned. "And I am worrying."

"Come on. Return my powers." She closed her eyes. Good, Blue thought mahirap gawin pag nakatingin ito. He moved closer then touched first her lips and felt them. He groaned again.

"Here goes..." his head bowed down and captured her lips. He couldn't stop himself from shaking. God if it were to be his fault because pinahiram siya ni Rain ng kaunting "powers" nito hindi niya mapapatawad ang sarili.

Moments later he felt that Rain's wings had started to unfurled and went back to her shoulders. He groaned again. And pulled her closer. Kissed her harder. Savor her breath. When they finished both of them gasp for air. Neither one of them could look at one another. It was so obvious they were kissing and not doing the breathing in thingy.

"Blue. I lied."

Napasinghap si Blue. He dreaded what she was going to say. I mean what did she lied about anyway.

"There's no breathe-in thing." She said quietly.

What!! What does that mean anyway??

"I didn't breathe in any of my powers in you. I'm sorry."

The hell??"So you tricked me?? Pinaniwala mo lang ako na you're going to lend me some of your powers a while ago. All the while I'm a walking target out there!!" he demanded.

"I told you ayaw kitang isama. Delikado." Hirap na paliwanag ni Rain. "Mapilit ka."

"Oo pinilit kita. Pero hindi mo kailangan magsinungaling na kailangan mo kong pahiramin ng kapangyarihan mo and things like that. You're playing me for a fool." Shit.

Ano ba mapapala ni Rain pag ginawa niya yun? Wala naman nga diba? Lying about breathing in some of her powers gah!! He had fallen for her sorry shit of an excuse... Breathing in when all they do was kissing!! Napasinghap si Blue.

Tumayo si Rain and called out her wings and walked limply. Trying to get outside the cave.

"Where the hell are you going?" asik ni Blue.

"Home."

"Hadn't you just told me that you lied just to kiss me??!" he demanded.

She blushed. Shit. So its true. She just wants to kiss me and make up all that stupid blah.

"Lakas mo Blue!!" But she was not laughing this time.

Rain. Rain don't go away.I really wanted you to stay.

He kissed her again. When she looked up, his heart swelled. "Asa!! Asa kang iiwanan pa kita." He teased.
