All Grown Up

Apologies

So Chris called me that night I stayed at Shad's place and told me everything that went down before I got there.

"Basically your brother said you're too good for me, and I'm gonna ruin you." He said annoyed. I understood where Chris' annoyance came from. Shad had no right coming at him like that. And he should know me well enough to know that I can handle myself.

"Chris I'll call you back. I've gotta have a talk with my brother." I hung up making my way to Shad's room.

"Sup?" He greeted.

"You owe Chris an apology." I said pointedly.

"The hell I do! If anything he owes me one for trying to get with my sister."

"Don't yell at me." I spoke calmly.

"Man he knew better, he knows you're off limits. Then he goes and does some shit like this."

Off limits? Really? I know he did not just speak about me like I'm his favorite video game. He done seriously lost it. He has most definitely lost it.

"Wait, wait, wait a minute let me stop you right there." I put my finger up to halt him before he kept going with his words.

"One don't give me that I'm off limits crap, making me sound like an object instead of a person, a person that happens to be your sister. Two, I'm a grown woman Shad guys are gonna be attracted to me, they're gonna ask me out on dates with them that's what happens when a guy likes you. You can't do anything about that. Chris is one of your boys and what you said to him was foul, you came at him all wrong and you know it."

I left with those words. I didn't feel like being there anymore so I took a cab back to my dorm. Brother or not Shad was wrong, you don't come at people like that. Lying on my twin sized bed I listened to Aliyah Radio on Pandora. Getting into One In A Million I noticed a notification on my phone.

I opened the note to see an "I'm sorry" quote.

Chrisbrownofficial: So a few weeks back I did a reckless thing tagging the sister of a good friend of mines, who happens to be another good friend of mines in some bull.

Aila_notlila: Aww thank you lemonhead now leave me lone I'm doing homework

I laughed knowing he's gonna be mad at me calling him Lemonhead. I used to call him that when I was little. I always told him he looked like my favorite candy so that name stuck for me. Shad has called me multiple times to apologize but I'm not the one he should be apologizing to.
