John's POV

I woke up the next morning more excited than ever. Today the was the day I was going to give Anette her new car. I was going to go to the dealership today and pick out her car.

I had a pretty good idea of what she wanted and I decided I was going to get her a light blue 1964 Ford Mustang. She had told me that she always wanted a muscle car so I was determined to get her one.

I walked to the dealership because it was a nice day and the dealer wasn't too far away. When I got there a man came up to me asking me if I needed help.

"Hello sir, how may I help you?" The man asked.

"I am looking for a light blue 1964 Ford Mustang." I told him.

"You came to the right place! We have one right over here!"

He leaded me over to the exact car I was looking for. It was perfect and I knew Anette was going to love it.

"Thank you! It's perfect, I will take it!" I said.

"Ok I will be right back!"

I had to go through a lot of paperwork and it took quite awhile. Finally, I had finished all of the paperwork and I was ready to drive it to Anette's house.

"I hope you enjoy your new car!" The dealer said.

"Thanks, but it's not for me. It's for my girlfriend!" I told him.

"She is one lucky girl then! Hope everything goes well for you two!"

"Thanks, I was thinking of asking her to marry me. I just don't know when the right time would be."

"There is never really a bad time! It's now or never!" He said.

I pulled out of the dealer and was on my way to her house. I thought about what the dealer had said and I guess he was right. I knew I had to ask her soon.

I pulled into Anette's house and I honked the horn of her brand new car. I expected her to come running out of her house but I just saw Sarah coming outside.

She looked like she had been crying and I wasn't sure what was wrong.

"Hey Sarah, where is Anette? I have her brand new car!" I said.

"You haven't heard?" She asked.

"What do you mean? Heard about what?"

"Well, Anette was in a car accident last night and she is now in a coma." Sarah said starting to cry.

"What? Why did you not call me? I can't believe you didn't tell me before." I yelled at her.

"Not like you really care about her anyway.."

"Of course I care about her..I love her." I said trying to fight back tears in my eyes.

"Yeah whatever, if you loved her you would have been there for her." Sarah said.

"You never told me! You know what screw you!"

I got into the car and I drove to the local hospital. As soon as I pulled out of her driveway, I couldn't hold back my tears anymore. The girl I loved was in a coma and I had no idea how to handle it.

When I got to the hospital I rushed in and asked the lady at the desk if Anette was here.

She told me the room number and I ran as fast as I could to her room. I was pushing past doctors and nurses and they were all yelling at me but I just had to see my girl.

I got to the room and I walked in. There I saw Anette laying there with her face all cut up. She had bruises and cuts all over her body. There was a nurse in the room taking care of her cuts and icing what looked like a broken arm.

"Is she going to be ok?" I asked the nurse.

"Sir, she is in a coma right now. We are not sure when she is going to wake up." She told me.

"She has to wake up! She will won't she?"

"I can't answer that sir. Are you related to her?" She asked.

"No, I'm her boyfriend.."

"I'm sorry about all of this. I will leave you two some time alone." She said leaving the room.

I looked at Anette and even though she had so many cuts all over her she still looked beautiful. I sat down beside her and I grabbed her hand.

"Anette, if you can hear me I want to let you know that I love you. I'm sorry that this happened and I can't help but blame myself. You have to wake up love. I can't live without you." I said through my tears.

I stayed there with her for a couple hours just holding her hand and telling her about how much she means to me. It was getting pretty late and the nurses were trying to clean her up so I gave her a kiss on the cheek and I walked out of the hospital.

I had no idea what to do. The love of my life was in a coma and there was nothing I could do about it. I didn't know if she was going to wake up or she even heard me talking to her.

Not to mention, that her best friend didn't even tell me what happened. I was so mad at Sarah and I couldn't even control my emotions at this point.

I decided I was going to go to the park because I didn't know what else to do. When I got to the park all of the past memories came back to me.

I walked to the spot that we always used to sat. This is where everything happened. This was where we first made love, it was our special place, and where I fell in love with her.

I walked around the park and then I noticed there was someone else there. There was a blonde woman sitting on the bench.

No one ever came to this park so it was very weird seeing someone else there.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her.

"Well hello to you too. What, I can't sit here?" She yelled.

"No, it's just not many people come to this park. I'm sorry I just have a lot on my mind."

"It's fine. Do you wanna talk about it?" She asked.

Really? The girl that just yelled at me is wondering if I want to talk to her about my personal life. I never opened up to anyone and I definitely did not want to talk to this bird. But, I was desperate.

"Well the girl I love was in a car wreck and she is in a coma. I was going to ask her to marry me and I had just got her a brand new car. I feel that it's my fault." I told her.

"I'm sorry to hear that. Do the doctor's know when she is going to wake up?" She asked.

"No, I don't even know if she will..." I said starting to cry.

I talked to the random blonde bird for a little while longer and it helped for me to talk to someone about it. It was getting late and I decided it was best to go home and get some rest.

"Well I better get home. Say, what is your name anyway? I'm John, sorry I didn't introduce myself before." I told her.

"My name is Cynthia..."
