Chapter 7: Ask Me Why

A couple days passed by and it was now Saturday, the night of our special date. I picked out a light blue dress and heels to wear to the date and I had just finished putting my makeup on. I spent a long time making sure that I looked good for this date.

This time I was not nervous for the date at all because I had become pretty comfortable around John.

I was so interested to where we would be going since John said it was a surprise. John had a mysterious side to him and I liked that about him.

John pulled into my driveway at exactly 5 just like he said. I walked outside to meet him standing at the front of his car with roses in his hand. I walked up to him and he gave me the roses and a kiss on the cheek.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and I gave a kiss on the lips and thanked him for the flowers.

"You look wonderful tonight love." John said.

"I could say the same thing about you." I said smiling.

He opened the car door for me and helped me in then he went over to the driver's side and started up the car.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"It's a surprise remember?"

"Ok come on John, just tell me!"

"No you have to wait!" John said.

I wanted to know so bad where we were going and I didn't recognize the area we were in. After a fairly long drive we arrived to a park that I had never seen before.

"We are here!" John said.

"Where are we? I have never seen this place before! It's so beautiful!" I said.

"Not many people know about this place and there is hardly anybody ever here. I figured it would be perfect" John said.

The park was absolutely beautiful. There was flowers of all sorts spread out around the park and in the middle there a fountain.

We got out of the car and John got out a blanket from his car and some pizza.

"I hope you like pizza!" John said.

"I love pizza! This is so sweet of you!"

We layed the blanket down in the park and we started to eat the pizza.

"This is amazing! I could not have asked for a better date!" I said.

"Just you wait it gets better! I have one more surprise for the night."

We finished eating our pizza and we layed down looking at the stars. The sky was so beautiful that night and this date could not be any better, or so I thought.

"I will be right back love." John said walking over to his car.

I had no idea what he was up to and I definitely did not expect what happened next.

John came back with his guitar and he sat down next to me.

"You probably will think this song is rubbish but I wrote it for you and it's called Ask Me Why." John said.

John started playing his guitar and singing to me.

"I love you, 'cause you tell me things I want to know
