Chapter 5: It Won't Be Long

I woke up the next morning around 8am feeling a lot better. John wasn't there and Sarah was not sleeping next to me either. I went downstairs to see Sarah sitting on the couch watching the television. 

"Hey Sarah where is John?" I asked.

"He left when I came home yesterday, you were out cold. Are you feeling better?" Sarah said.

"Yeah, I am feeling much better actually. Thank you. Did he say anything to you?"

"He said that you weren't feeling well and you were asleep. That's pretty much it and he left. It was kind weird." Sarah said. 

I hoped he wasn't upset about anything, especially if it was something I did. I decided to just not worry about it and I watched television with Sarah. 

About two hours later  I heard a knock at the door. I got up to see who it was and it was John.

"Hey Anette are you feeling better?" John asked. 

"Yeah I am, thank you for yesterday." I said.

"No problem, I'm glad you are feeling better." 

"Come on in, I will get you some tea."

"Thank you, love." John said.

I just loved when he called me "love". It made my heart flutter every time. I made him some tea because who doesn't love tea and we sat down on the couch together. 

"Hey Anette, I need to ask you something." John said. 

"Ok, ask away!" I said.

He looked very nervous which was making me very nervous also. I had no idea what he was about to ask me and it scared me to death. I was never really good with these types of situations. 

"Um well I was just wondering if you wanted to..um..." John said. 

"Go ahead John, you can ask me anything. It's ok!" I said.

"Well once you feel better I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date. We could make it a double date with me and you and Paul and Sarah if you want."

"That's sounds wonderful! I would love to!" 

I was so excited, I thought he was upset with me but it turns out he wasn't and I was so glad he asked me on a date. Especially with Paul and Sarah because I knew that they would have a lot of fun also. 

I yelled to Sarah in the kitchen to come to the couch with me and John.

"Sarah guess what?" I said.

"What is it?" She asked.

"John just asked me to go on a date with him and you can come with Paul!"

"Oh boy, that sounds like fun but how do you know that Paul will want to come with me?" 

"Of course, he would want to! I think he fancies you!" John said. 

"I think Sarah fancies him also." I said with a wink.

We made plans for the date and we decided we were going to a restaurant called Anthony's around 6 pm tomorrow. Anthony's was a pretty fancy restaurant and I was very surprised we were going there. John insisted we go somewhere nice and I wasn't used to going to fancy restaurants. I don't know why but they always made me anxious because I felt like trash compared to most of the people in there. 

I decided it was fine for this one time. Besides, I was going with John and I couldn't pass up this offer. I was so excited and I automatically started thinking about what I should wear.

"I'm so excited for this date but I have no idea what to wear!" I said. 

"I'm sure whatever you wear you will look wonderful in it." John said.

This made me blush and I figured he was used to it by now. Stupid me always had to be blushing at every little thing. 

"Well thank you John." I said.

"I will see you tomorrow and me and Paul will pick you girls up around 6." John said.

"That's sounds great!" Sarah and I said.

"Ok, bye love." John said kissing my cheek. 

There goes that word "love" again. For some reason it just made me feel so special inside and it kind of turned me on to be honest. 

I couldn't wait for our date tomorrow although I didn't expect what was going to happen that night.
