Here Comes Baby

Luke's POV

March 2008

This is it. Savy is a couple weeks shy of being 9 months pregnant and she surprisingly isn't that big. Sure she still has come big belly problems like we expected but we both know that it'll be worth it at the end of the day because we get to have that adorable little baby. I finished up the nursery already with Savy's little touches to it without her actually being inside the room. But I know that once she sees it she'll love it. She still tries every day to get in there but I've managed to keep her out. I think that I did a pretty good job on it though if I do say so myself.

Today is Savy's baby shower and she's been in the bedroom getting ready for the past half hour. I was sitting in the living room watching T.V. when Savy started yelling for me. "Luke honey can you come here for a minute. I need your help."

I got up off the couch and walked down to our room where Savy was standing in front of the closet in a black lace bra and pantie set with her hands on her hips. "Yeah baby?"

"Nothing fits me anymore. I can't find anything to wear and I was supposed to be downstairs ready and out in the car with Jamie. I swear Luke the only thing that fits me anymore is your shirts and even those are tight."

"Well hang on a minute what about the maternity clothes that you bought?"

"I've woren them time and time again. I wanted something different for the baby shower and there's nothing in there for me to wear."

"Let me look. I'm sure you have something. You have a closet full of clothes in here."

"Yeah for when I was skinny. Now I look like a damn whale."

"Savy honey you're not a whale."

"Yes I am Luke! I have a damn beach ball strapped to my stomach and I can't seem to get rid of it. It's just gotten bigger and bigger."

"Sweetie I know but just think in a couple weeks we'll have our beautiful little baby and it'll all be worth it."

"I know."

She sat down on the bed and leaned back on her arms so that her belly was sticking out and she had one hand wrapped around the bottom of her belly rubbing it. I went through her closet and found a kneelength spaghetti stap purple and pink maternity dress and pulled it outta the closet. "What about this? You purpously bought it for the party"

"Oh yeah! I completely forgot about that! What can I say I have pregnancy brain sometimes. Thanks baby."

She got up and kissed my cheek and took the dress from me before slipping it on and pairing it with a jean jacket and a pair of beige colored heels. "There what do you think baby?"

"Gorgeous darlin. Now go before Jamie starts sleeping on the doorbell."

She came over and gave me a kiss on the cheek before grabbing her purse and cell phone off the bed and rushing out the door.

Savy's POV

After I was finally dressed I flew out the front door and managed to waddle my way to Jamie's car where she was waiting for me right outside. "Hi there mama. How ya feelin?"

"Like a damned beach whale with a huge beach ball attached to my stomach but thanks for asking."

"Haha well just think you're almost there. And if I'm thinking right you got about 3 weeks left. You're due date is 2 weeks away and first babies are always late so I'm guestimating 3 weeks."

"Gee thanks Jamie, just what I needed to....agh!"

"What what's wrong do I need to go get Luke??"
