Meeting The Family

Savy's POV

While Luke and I were sitting on the couch watching a movie his phone decided to ring. He leaned up while not moving his arm from around me and we saw that it was his mom calling.

Luke answered it and put it on speaker so that I was able to hear the conversation.

"Hi mama."

"Hi baby whatcha doing?"

"Oh nothing Savy and I are just sitting here watching a movie. Whatcha up too?"

"Oh well tell her I said hello and I just got off the phone with Kelly and her Lee and the kids are coming over for dinner tonight and I wanted to know if you and Savy wanted to come?"

"Oh I don't know mama. Hang on let me talk to Savy real quick ok?"

"Alrighty."

Luke muted his phone before looking down at me and saying "What do you think baby? You up for meeting my family?"

"Do you want me to go?"

"Yeah kinda."

"Then were going."

"Ya sure your ready for it? They can be a little over protective"

"Yes Luke I think I can handle myself. Now get back on the phone with your mother and tell her were coming to dinner tonight."

"Ok fine.....Mama ya still there?"

"Yeah I'm still here."

"Savy and I will be there tonight."

"Oh goodie! Now Kelly's coming over at 4 to help me cook so does 4:30 5 sound good?"

"Yeah mama that's good. We'll see you then bye!"

"Bye baby"

Luke hung up his phone and put it back in his pocket. I cuddled into his side again and we went back to watching the movie. From the moment we went back to watching it Luke and I were confused as hell because we had already missed the beginning of it. And then his mom calling made us miss even more of it so we just decided to turn on CMT Hot 20 instead.

We were watching the number 12 video when Luke said "Ya know what baby"

"What?"

"I'm going to be on here one day."

"I think you will be and your going to be one of the biggest names in country music."

"Thanks baby girl. And I'll have you right there by my side the whole way."

Wait a minute what?

First Luke was about to say he loves me earlier and now he's talking about getting married? I'm not ready to get married yet. Or to even think about getting married right now.

But then again I found the most perfect guy out there. He's sweet and good to me and he's a total southern gentleman.

Ugh I don't know what to think. Maybe he's talking about later on down the line.

Gosh I hope so.....

Few Hours Later

The show ended and Luke and I were still cuddling on the couch. I barely watched the show because I kept thinking about dinner tonight. But the more I think about it the more nervous I get. I'm getting to the point where I'm so nervous that I'm ready to just tell Luke to go without me but then I would look bad. And Luke's parents definitely don't need that as a first impression from me.
