The Definition of Love

I Love You

Savy's POV

I walked out into the living room and Luke was standing by the kitchen counter with a mini stereo on it and he was holding what looked like a jewelry box.

I walked towards him and pointed to the box and said "Luke what is that?"

"Open it and find out"

He handed me the box and I opened it and it was a really simple necklace that had a single heart intertwined with it. It was really simple and I love it. (Picture on side/top if on mobile)

"Luke it's gorgeous! I love it. Will you put it on me?" 

"Of course baby"

I took it outta the box and handed it to Luke. I turned around and pulled my hair up so he could put it on me. When he was done I went and looked in the mirror by the door and fell in love with it all over again. I walked back over to Luke and wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. "I love it baby thank you."

"Your welcome darlin. Happy anniversary."

I smiled and kissed him again as he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me towards him. "How did you all this?"

"Well when you went into the bedroom to get ready I ran out to my truck and got the necklace and the stereo."

"What's the stereo for?"

"I wanna play you something."

Luke hit play on the stereo then went behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist and laid his head on my shoulder. When the music started I started to recognize the song because I've heard it a couple times when I was in the truck with Luke. I think it's that new Justin Timberlake song Not a Bad Thing. But why would Luke be playing it for me?

I listened to it for a minute before I realized what I think Luke was trying to say. I think he's trying to tell me that he loves me.

But I'm not ready for this. I know I've opened up too Luke already about a lot of things and he's done the same with me. I can be myself around him and that's hard for me to do with other people.

But am I really ready to open up my heart to someone else again and risk that chance of getting hurt.

Savy you dummy Luke would never do that.

Great now even my own conscience is against me. I just don't wanna be in another situation like I was with Jeremy. Is that too much to ask??

I must have been lost in my own thoughts while we were listening to the song because I felt Luke tighten his arms around me and start singing in my ear.

After that all my worries went away and I knew exactly what I wanted. I wanted Luke and only Luke. He loves me and I'm pretty sure after that I love him too.

Awe hell there is no pretty sure about.  I love Luke and only Luke.

The song ended and Luke and I didn't move. Luke just tightened his grip around my waist and whispered in my ear "I Love You."

I started smiling like an idiot and leaned into him. He kissed my neck causing me to tilt my head to the side and he whispered it again into my ear. I couldn't get rid of the ridiculous smile on my face but lets face it. 

I'm in love and I have someone who loves me back. 

I turned around and put my hands on Luke's sides and kissed him. When we pulled away he laid his forehead against mine and closed his eyes. I put my hand on his cheek and he leaned into it. 

"Luke look at me"

He opened his eyes and as soon as I looked in his eyes I could just see pure love and nothing else. 

"I love you too."

He let out what I'm assuming was a sigh of relief and tightened his arms around me and kissed me again. This time it was a different kiss. It was a kiss that was filled with love and passion and it was making my knees weak. I put my hands on his face and held him to me. 

He pulled outta our kiss first and gave me a quick peck on the lips before picking me up and setting me on the counter. He put his hands on either side of me and kissed me again. "I love you Savy. Your the one I wanna be with and only you. I love your smile, your beautiful blue eyes, the way your face lights up when you see me, even the way you scrunch your knows when your sleeping. I love everything about you Savy. From the moment I met you that night at Dingus Magees I think I fell in love with you right then and there." 

I smiled at him and put my hands on his face and gave him the most passionate kiss I possibly could. Luke wrapped his arms around me and picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist. He put his hands under my thighs and carried me down to my bedroom while not breaking our kiss once. 

I have a man that loves me and I love him and to me, that's all that matters.
