Chapter 17

Crystals POV
"It's okay baby don't cry...don't cry I am right here.... Everything is going to be okay.", He said comforting me and stroking my hair. "What if everything wasn't gonna be fine what if I don't get to see him.... What if my family hates me?", I thought to myself. I started to rock back and forth in Joey's arms. This was way to familiar to me, my anxiety.

"Shhh calm down I'm right here" Joey said holding me tight in his arms. All of a sudden I felt safe. Joey helped me calm down. I slowly let go of him. "Is everything okay now?", he asked with a worried expression on his face. "Thanks to you", I said back giving him a kiss on the cheek. I tried to get back on to my feet but my legs gave out and fell to the floor. "Crystal!", Joey said helping me up to the bed. "There you go you're safer up her with me.", he said cuddling me in his chest. "Joey...", I said. "What", he said smirking. "Can I tell you something I haven't told anyone ever?", I said. "You can tell me anything", he said pecking my lips.

"So where do I start. I grew up in Pittsburgh all my life and I have two sisters, Bridget and Noel. I was super close to my dad because I was the youngest. My mom well she didn't care about us. All my life I remember my dad and her getting into heated arguments about her alcohol addiction. She left us when I was 14. My anxiety got worse and worse every year with her because she used to hit us and verbally abuse us.

I Couldn't take it anymore so I moved to LA by myself and I got an apartment. I thought LA would be an escape from my life and I could start fresh but I was wrong. I started to date this guy.... Jason. He was sort of nice at first but as soon as I would say something that he didn't think was good enough he would beat me down with his words.

He called me all sorts of things... He always used to go off on me over everything. One night he tried to rape me but thankfully I got away from him and called Meghan and David who also were in LA. We called the cops and he is in jail now I don't know how long and that's what I'm afraid of. Him.... C.. Coming after me I never really told anyone this not even my sisters.",I stuttered. "Crystal I'm so sorry this happened to you I can't believe you went through all that. I will make sure to keep you safe forever I promise. I...I love you", he said tears in his eyes. I wiped them away with the pad of my thumb. He looked me in my eyes and we shared a long passionate kiss. "I'm gonna get us to Pittsburgh to see your family baby okay?", he said a smile on his face.

"Thank you", I said "Your the best boyfriend in the world", I said. "I love you so much", I said kissing him. He pulled back. "I love you more"
