Chapter 22

Crystal's POV
I couldn't believe what I saw the monster that I ran away from is standing right in front of me. I was mad why was she even here! I wanted her gone.

"Listen I don't have time for this I'm waiting for my boyfriend so we can go home.", I said sternly.

"Crystal I just meet you after all these years and you push me away. I'm sorry but that's not how it's going to work", she said grabbing my arm leaving a grip mark

"Joey Help!!!", I shouted. Thank God he was done at the desk. He ran over to me and ripped her hand away from my arm. "What the heck are you doing to her!", Joey shouted in my moms face. Why was I even referring to her as my mom she never was my mom and she never will be. "Who the heck are you?!", she said staring at Joey.

"This is my boyfriend mom!", I said nudging Joey. I could see his eyes widen. But he wouldn't say anything back he just waited to defend me. "Well he is no good for you your coming home with me Crystal NOW!",she said trying to rip me away from Joey.

To bad for her Joey's grip was way to strong for her and he pulled me into him. "What are you doing Crystal I said to come with me I am your mother and you will do as I say!", she said turning to face Joey and I

That's it I had nothing left to do and with my luck with everything that's happened to me in Pittsburgh. I will get separated from Joey.

"No! As a matter of fact your not her mother. Even if you are biologically you have been nothing but a mother to her. And you left her with anxiety and scars. You deserve to never see her again. I'm sorry to break it to you but you can't see her and you never will. She doesn't even trust you anymore. If you want to get her your going to have to go past me first. I love her with all my heart and your never going to try and take her away from me! So just go somewhere and please never come near us!", Joey said sternly.

And with that he picked me up bridal style and we went out the hotel door.

He put me down on the sidewalk and he hailed us a cab.

"Thank you", I said shivering. "Your very welcome I would do anything for my little princess.", he said smiling pecking me on the lips.

We got into the cab and Joey told the driver that we had to go to the airport. I quickly texted Meghan that we were coming back home and she was really excited and said that she would pick us up.

"What's wrong", Joey said looking at me. I bit my lip to hold in the tears. "Nothing I was just texting Meghan that we were coming home today",I lied. There obviously was something wrong with me I just didn't want to overwhelm him with my issues.

"Come on Crystal, there obviously is something wrong I can see it in the way your talking to me. And how your not looking at me when your talking. Look up babe I want to see those beautiful big brown eyes.", he said blushing. "I don't know Joey it's just that... I don't know... Never mind it's not really important anyway.", I said looking up at him. He had a concerned look on his face. I could see he wasn't happy with my response and he wanted me to tell him what's wrong.

"Okay guys we are here have a nice day", the cab driver said stopping in the front of the airport. Joey gave him five dollars and we walked into the airport entrance.

We got through security and everything and it was time to board our plane. Fortunately Joey and I didn't talk much while in security. Once we found a seat I sat near the window and immediately opened my laptop and started to watch The fault in our stars. I was about fifteen minutes into the movie when Joey nudged me.

"Hey...", he said taking out his headphones. I did the same and closed my laptop. "You know you can tell me anything right", he said, his blue eyes making my heart flutter. "Yeah I know and I will.... It's just I don't want you to feel bad.", I sighed. "Crystal I'm not going to get mad I just want to make you feel better. You can trust me. ", he said holding out his hand.

"Okay, so maybe I feel like it's all my fault that I put you through all of this crap. If it wasn't for me you wouldn't have to go through the stress with Blake and my Mom. If I wasn't your girlfriend you you would live a better life with no stress. I'm like a dark cloud that follows you everywhere. Joey I bring doom that's all. I don't know I've just been so stressed lately.

"What?!... No! Of course not. Crystal I Love You and everything about you is what I love. It doesn't matter what the other people in life that are bad say or do to us. As long as I have you by me I have no worries in the world. You are anything but a dark cloud of doom. You are my little beautiful ray of sunshine. I wouldn't know where I would be without you. You Crystal Knight make my life complete. ", Joey said leaning down to kiss me on the top of my head.

"Why are you so sweet to me?", I said giggling pecking him on the lips. "Because I love you.... A lot more than you think.", he said kissing me again but more passionate. I pulled away. "Your cute.", I giggled. "Well your a lot cuter", he laughed kissing my nose.
