52. Chen: Amnesia

CHEN'S POV

I was stupid, i'm a fool. I chose my career over love and now the love of my life is with someone else. I'm such an asshole, an idiot and i regretted that. My whole life is over.

flashback 2 years ago~

"You said we were perfect and now what's happening Chen? Where is the Chen that i loved?" , (y/n) said. I grew more and more tired that day and i was grumpy. "I don't know anymore, i just have to do this", i said. "So, you're choosing your career over me?" She said in an annoyed tone, "I-i don't know, i really am confused" i replied. Silence filled the room, which i hated. "I get it..let's break up" she spoke.

Two years. And i haven't gotten over her obviously because...

I still love her.

THIRD PERSON POV

You smiled at the person across the table. Which is your boyfriend, NamJoon. But no matter what, you constantly thought of Chen you still worry about him, it's obvious that you still love him. "Hey!" Namjoon snapped his fingers infront of you. "Oh, sorry" you apologised, "You think too much lady, what are you thinking about anyway?" He asked, and you smiled, "About you, duhh", You lied. After coffee, you walked outside with NamJoon with your arms wrapped around his. Then, you bumped into someone. "Sorry" you mumbled and look back to see who it is, it was Chen.

"Chen?"

He turns around as well, "(y/n)?". "Wow, you two know each other?", NamJoon interrupts, "Yeah we were....friends" you said. Chen smiles, "You look well, i'm glad" you smile at him as well, Chen looks at his watch "Oh, shoot! I'm gonna be late catch ya later? I guess?" He said and you nodded.

After that, Chen walks off. "Well, that was awkward. He was so weird" NamJoon said and you hit him. "Yah!! that was mean" you told him. He can be a total bully. "I was just kidding!!" He laughed. Chen is doing fine right? you suddenly thought

CHEN'S POV (AGAIN)

I saw her. She was happy. Then why am i sad inside?

"Okay guys! Let's start from the top!" The choreographer shouted and we all gathered infront and did the steps. We have been training 6 hours non stop which is crazy, we are all breathless from the training and now we are finally able to go back. "Hey guys, i'll just be grabbing us some snacks" i said and the guys nodded, "I'll go with you" Xiumin said.

After buying the snacks, we both walked back with plastic bags in our hands. A car drove past us pretty fast and....i was run over. I saw the car just drove away. "HOLY SHI- CHEN?! ARE YOU OKAY?? CALL THE DAMN AMBULANCE!!", Xiumin shouted while tears flooded his face as i lie down on the ground motionless, "Chen, you'll be fine stay with me" he said softly and i finally fainted.

YOUR POV

I sat down on my sofa and turn on the tv. The news came up.

"There is a report on a hit-and-run incident that happened on Seoul the last 5 days. The victim, Kim JongDae aged 23 years old was seriously injured and sent to XXX hospital"

Oh no. Chen. I quickly get my coat and went to the hospital. When i got there, i asked the nurse for the room and immediately went there. I saw 11 guys surrounding him and one of them saw me, "You must be (y/n), Chen talks alot about you" he said. Chen still talks about me? "I'm Xiumin by the way" he took out his hand and i shook it.

We heard a grunt and saw that Chen woke up. He seemed to recognize the members and i approached to him. "Hey, Chen. Do you remember me?" And there was this long silent and he had his confused face. "Who are you?"

That's when my heart dropped.

"He..has amnesia?" I asked the members and they shrugged. "Chen...you...really...don't...know me?" I asked him, he shook his head and replied "No". I thought he was fooling around but he seemed serious

Namjoon was arrested for the hit-and-run that caused Chen his serious injuries. I ended our relationship and now i'm all alone.

Chen never regained his memories of us. I guess he was meant to forget about me.

{one year later...}

I sat on the couch, thinking about everything that happened last year. I ended up putting my palms on my face and burst out crying.

I'm so sorry Chen

I miss you Chen

I love you Chen.
