he had no where to go. leaving the alley was the smartest thing he could have done at the moment though. the boy appeared to know that Tommy was no friend. Jonathan wandered the dark streets of downtown, looking for anywhere to go that what let you in for a quarter. that was all the he had in his pocket. the boys face gave no emotion away, other than the slight slanting of his eyes, which could have been caused by the brisk wind. the clatter of a automobile shook the ground. Jonathan's eyes rose, hollow cheeks, devastatingly handsome, illuminated by the yellow headlights. the black automobile passed, not bothering to stop even for a second to glance at the boy. in the car was a girl dressed in silk and finery. an uptown girl, one could say. she never saw the face flash by, or the glimmer of hate in the dark eyes. no one ever saw the likes of a homeless street rat, however handsome they may be.
