"Hey, let's go in." Michael said, unlocking the door to our new apartment. I smiled as he walked in.
"Nice place!" April said, following us in.
"I know, right?" I said.
"Nice job picking the place, Cat." Michael said.
"Why, thank you." I said.
"Now, let's live out our happily ever after."
"Happily ever after? You're so fucking cheesy."
"Thank you."
"Wasn't a compliment." I said.
"Shut the fuck up."
"Nah." I said. The door swung open and revealed 2 people. One of them, I had never seen before.
"Brianna!" I said, hugging her.
"Hey." she said.
"ASH!" Michael yelled, launching onto his friend. I laughed.
"Hi, Michael." Ash laughed.
"I'm Ashton," he introduced himself to me.
"I'm Cathy," I said.
"So this is the Cathy I've heard so much about! I think you two are cute together. Honest." Ashton said. I felt myself blush.
"Watch it, mate. She's mine." Michael said, putting his arm around me.
"And she's mine," Ashton said, putting his arm around April.
"Actually, no. That's the reason I'm here." April said. I raised an eyebrow.
"What's wrong, babe?" Ashton asked. April sighed. She seemed tense, and she was obviously worried about something.
"Guys, it's been a while since I've seen Luke." April said, looking at the floor.
"Hey, are you sure you wanna do this?" Michael asked, already knowing what she was doing.
"I don't know. He's probably moved on to the next teen girl who lived in the house."
"There's only one way to find out," I said. I gave her a sad look. I felt bad for her. Her true love was dead, and trapped in a house she shouldn't go into.
"I'll do it. But... only if you guys come with me," April said. I looked up at Michael, who just gave a slight nod. I sighed.
"Let's do it." I said. April went from a sad puppy to a kid going to a candy store. She was genuinely excited.
"Come on!" April said, running out the door. I sighed as we ran after her.

"Yeah?"
"You wanna go in alone? I'll go with you." I said. She held out her hand and I walked forward and took it. The car was in the front, so we hoped someone was home. She squeezed ny hand before letting go to ring the doorbell. Michael grabbed my other hand.
Our fingers intertwined. I looked up at him. He looked a bit terrified. The door creaked open, and a lady who looked like a suburban mother answered the door.
"Are you the ghost hunter?" she asked in a hushed tone.
"Excuse me?" April asked.
"The ghost hunters! I've been hearing ghosts around my house!" she repeated.
