4. Revelation of love

Liz's POV:

I was very disturbed. Ever since the nightmare, I had a feeling like someone is following my every move. I didn't know the little girl in my dream. But those green eyes were looking at me like digging into my soul, reading my every thought, stealing my memories. I became vulnerable before those green eyes. But I am not afraid of him; I won't let myself down before any evil; I will fight with all my strength to overcome him.

Liz looked through her window; evening breeze was hitting her face gently. The traffic down was very heavy during the peak hours. It is time for her to leave the duty. Ever since she came to the mortal world, she wanted to work as a nurse. She thought it was a good opportunity to severe the innocent people. So with the help of few friends from her realm she gained the way into the local hospital. She loved her job. She closed her office door and headed towards the lift. Once she reached parking lobby, she drove away quickly to meet her old friend.

She stopped at the grocery store to buy her groceries and other things needed to prepare dinner. Tonight was special. When she reached home it was almost dark. Moon has emerged from the clouds and shining brightly. It was the perfect time for their meeting. She quickly showered and headed to kitchen to prepare dinner. She decided to do salmon with orange sauce and apple salad. She hoped that her friend was not on any crazy diet as she always has but Lisa loves salmon so I picked it especially for her.

Liz loved to cook so she took her time in making those delicious dishes and after everything was over she made herself a black coffee and went to her room to pick her laptop. Suddenly there was a gush of wind came from her window. Liz smiled and turned towards the window. There she was looking the same as before like never aged since I left. Lisa was smiling at her. She almost ran towards Liz and hugged her.

"I have missed you my child", said Lisa.

"I missed you too Lisa", said Liz with her eyes full of tears. Lisa was like a god mother to her. She was a lean girl with short hairs. Of course she was a woman, not a girl. Unlike mortals we live for 8000 years so we age very slowly. Lisa was exactly 4576 years old, a thousand years older than me. She always wear long black cloak a pointed hat with large boots. She was looking like a witch from the Disney world. But she is a real world witch, a powerful witch unlike Beth. When I hugged her, I felt the warmth of caring and love emanating from her.

How are you my child?

"I am fine", I said.

She noticed my tears filled eyes and gently hugged me. Liz everything is over baby, your sorrows your pain is gone. It's time for you to take back your home.

I looked at her still confused. How could I be ever happy if the same nightmare is haunting me every time I sleep? I asked her.

I know of your nightmares Liz. They are just dreams from your memories not nightmares, she said.

You knew my dreams?

Yes, she said.

How is it even possible? I asked.

When I hugged you I sensed your innermost fears. It was so strong. So I made a virtual connection with your mind. That's when I saw your dreams Liz, she said.

Is it my memories? If so, who is that little girl? I didn't know her.

"It was you my dear", she said.

I was shocked to hear that. How couldn't I recognize myself in my childhood?

Lisa was panicked now. When you came to earth it is possible for you to lose some memories. Since your mother land is capable of holding some of your childhood memories, you may lose them once you left, she said.

And who is behind those green eyes?

I don't know my child. It may be Steve.

What, Steve..! No it's impossible, I said.

Yes, it might be him. Remember what those eyes said? It said that he will find you no matter what. Only Steve can find you, Liz. Nobody can recognize you now. It is almost 20 years over; time had come for you to be reunited with him again.

How could you say that Lisa?

"Because it is prophesy", she said.

I looked back at my reflection in the mirror. I nodded and smiled at her.

Okay it is time for dinner, I said.

Luckily she was not on any diet and we both had a very good time together. Since it's a weekend, Lisa decided to spend the night with me. I was very happy to spend some time with her after a long time.

We both watched hocus pocus movie. But my mind was busy thinking about Steve. Every nerve in my body is excited on hearing his name. Finally I was going to be with him forever. I am going to my sweet home.

Lisa was aware of her thoughts now and was worried. She wasn't ready to tell her the truth about her legacy. Lisa can't say that to Liz. She had gone through many things in her life. I wasn't the one who is going to break her heart by saying the truth. It has to be Steve; he is the one whom she trusts the most. She needs to accept her true legacy.
