Lost Love

13. Kidnapped

Beatrix was taking her evening walk by the river. She remembered the happy days once she had spent with her sister. Her sister was always different from others; she always says me to listen to my heart and do what it says. Everybody hated her. But I love her the most; I had never seen her for the past few decades; I miss her badly she thought.

As she was busy in her thoughts she was not aware that somebody was following her. Suddenly she heard a metal clinging sound behind her and she turned swiftly. There was a cloaked man standing in front of her.

When she was about to fight him she was knocked out from her behind and they carried her away from Scotia undetected by everyone.

It was almost two hours past Beatrix didn't returned to home. Lucy was very afraid of her now; she knows that bea was upset about something but she wouldn't stay alone in the river; she knew that it was a dangerous place to be alone in the night. What the hell happened to her? She thought.

Lucy asked everybody about Beatrix but didn't have any answer so she went to ask the boatman of the river. He too said the same. So bea wasn't there all the time she has been taken by someone she thought and ran to Lisa.

Lisa has lot of things under her nose so on hearing this she almost lost her hope. Lucy told that Beatrix always has the habit of walking by the river when she was upset about something so there is no point of her to get lost in the woods unless somebody lured her.

Lisa ordered the guards to go and search by the woods near the river. She and Lucy went to search the river. When she reached there the river was very silent and cooled breeze were hushing towards them. There was no sign of anybody expect them. Lisa looked around and walked to the tree nearby; she closed her eyes for a second then took a few steps and stopped abruptly. She opened her eyes and saw three pair of footprints on the sand. One smaller than the other two and she followed the footprints suddenly the smaller footprint was missing. She nodded sadly. At the time the guards came out of the woods nearby and told her that they saw fresh horse prints in the woods leading away from Scotia.

Lisa ordered everybody to stay in their house and she ordered the league to be in guard overnight. She was very upset everything was going out of control; she needs to handle the situation wisely she thought.

While everybody was busy in this commotion a hooded figure moved swiftly to the large water tank and took a small vial of liquid from his bag and emptied it into the water tank. He then smiled and walked away quickly.

It was almost midnight. Liz and Beth were lying asleep in the couch; they were watching horror movie and eventually slept in the living room after the movie was over. Suddenly Beth shrieked loudly from her sleep.

Liz woke up frightened; Beth was still trembling; Liz shook her vigorously and suddenly she opened her eyes. Beth was breathing heavily and was covered in sweat. Are you okay? Liz asked.

A terrible nightmare Beth said.

Suddenly Beth's phone rang loudly.

I'll get it said Liz.

It's okay Liz; I am alright said Beth and she took her phone. She looked at it with utter shock.

"Hello", she said trembling.

Beth, Beatrix was kidnapped by someone; she was taken away from Scotia a female voice said sadly.

What? No..she screamed.

I am so sorry my dear. But i....

Beth hung up the phone.

What is it? Liz asked.

Beth was in shock and was still like a stone.

Please tell me Beth, Liz cried.

My little sister was taken away she said as tears rolled down her cheeks.
