When they reached home Beth gave a cup of hot coffee to warm her up. Liz was still taken away by the stalker at the mall. Beth held Liz's hand tightly, it's okay Liz you don't need to worry anymore.

She smiled and nodded at Beth. What did you saw when you touched the paper? Liz asked.

It's not very clear; there was a fog and a shadow of man with a pair of green eyes. That's what I saw, said Beth.

Liz was shocked by her revelation.

Hey, I was not a powerful witch you know that; I am still a newly added one. But I won't let anything happen to you.

Yeah I know that Beth, that is what exactly I am saying. I do not want to lose you too. Every time I looked into your eyes I feel the love of a family I never had. You and Lisa are the only family I have.

Beth's heart was bursting inside her. She wanted to comfort her with the truth but she can't. Instead she said I was grateful for your love Liz.

But those green eyes you said earlier was haunting me in my nightmares. I don't know why and who it belongs to.

Beth smiled at her and said, I think it belongs to Steve's.

Did you talked to Lisa about your nightmares?

Yes, in fact she too said the same. How could you say that it was Steve? Did you saw his face?

He did? So he found me, then why can't he come and face me directly instead of sending those creepy messages?

He will come when the time is right, said Beth.

Liz smiled at her and they both hugged themselves tightly saying he is coming.

They enjoyed their day together like it was their last day on earth.

Liz's POV:

My drive home seems to be very long. All the way I was thinking about my past days with Steve and Beth. My heart was still aching to see him; to feel the warmth of his love and comfort.

I joined the league of Light when I was very young. I was very impressed by the girls fighting and defending abilities. I saw how courage they were. They all lost their families in a battle like me yet they sacrificed their youth for the league to defend their home. But I was too scared to even hold my sword. Then I saw him; Steve was there at the practice arena always encouraging people like me. Even though he was the prince of the land he was very kind and humble with everyone.

One day he came to me with his sword his in hands ready to fight me. I was barely holding my sword; my hands were trembling. When he swayed his sword towards me I threw away my sword fearfully and ran away. Then he came to me and gently placed his hands on my shoulders and asked me to walk with him. I was still shaking but I don't have choice so I left with him. He talked to me about the motive of the league and the people who sacrificed their life to defend this league.

Then I asked him about my family because I don't know how I ended up in this league. He said nobody knows what happened to my family. Steve's father found me lying unconscious in the woods and brought me to his kingdom. A few days later he heard about a massacre near the woods. The entire village was burned to ashes but I was the only one who escaped.

After hearing this I took an oath to avenge the death of my family. So I started to practice very hard. I became very close to Beth and Steve. They meant a lot to me. Every time I looked into his eyes I lost myself completely in him; we became together. Then all of a sudden he was gone. He was killed in a battle between Drake and the league. It was such a shock to me. I thought he was too strong and nobody could defeat him; but I lost him. After that every day I spent in the league was like a hell to me. The pain was unbearable. But then the prophesy has been spoken. So Beth and I came to this world. Our fate was tied together.

When I reached my house it was almost dark outside. So I switched on the porch light and something caught my attention. There was a small piece of card at the window. I was not afraid this time so I picked up and read, "Meet me tomorrow at 6pm near the local café".
